"What I should cook tonight?" Jumin wondered as he scanned through the meat section in the grocery store. "Parker also said that he'll come by after he's done with his Korean lessons. I wonder why he began taking those lessons. He did say he was tired of repeating the same kanji, but is he doing it for me?"
Jumin shook his head wildly and grabbed a container of grounded meat. "That can't be true," he whispered but didn't move from his spot. "Now that I think of it, he has been acting weirder for over a month. Right after that day, after Parker told me something in Dutch." He turned around and went to another aisle.
He paused as his eyes caught a full stand with red and pink Valentine's Day chocolates. He narrowed his eyes at it and spotted Parker's favorite chocolate on there. He didn't think it over and grabbed a box of it. When he wanted to walk away, Jumin bumped into a guy around his height. The guy was quick enough to steady himself and Jumin who almost fell.
"You alright?" he asked and looked at Jumin. His eyebrows furrowed after seeing Jumin who didn't change his expression. "Aren't you Jumin?"
Jumin's face turned surprised. "Do I know you?" he asked, his eyes showing confusion.
"C'mon dude. I'm in your class! You know, Nash?" he grinned.
Jumin frowned at Nash's face and he widened his eyes when he remembered him. "Oh yeah. You're friends with Ashton and that other guy, right?"
"Yeah," he replied, a small chuckle escaping from his lips. "I haven't heard a lot from Ash these days. He says he's really busy with school and I can understand why. Exams are coming up and..."
Jumin stared at his lips while Nash continued rambling, sometimes looking at his eyes to seem he was listening to him. "How long is he going to talk? It's getting annoying," he thought and heard Nash mentioning Parker.
"Where is Parker?" Nash asked, searching for him.
"He's following his Korean lessons," he replied. "He hasn't told me around which hour he's done, but I'll definitely know when."
"How?"
"Easy. He'll blow up my phone." Right after Jumin said that he felt his phone vibrating. He grabbed it from his pocket and chuckled when he saw that Parker was calling him. "See?"
"I would expect that from him," Nash chuckled and remembered why he was there. "I gotta go before my girlfriend does the same. See you at school."
"Bye." Jumin answered the phone and put it against his ear. "Hey, Park."
"Hi Jumin," Parker grinned as he walked to the bus stop. "I'm already done and I'm going straight to your house."
"Alright. I'm at a grocery store in the neighborhood right now. Do you need anything?" he asked while walking to self-checkout.
"No." Parker stopped when he saw the bus stop and saw the bus from the distance. "The bus is almost here. I'll see you soon."
"Bye." Jumin ended their call and scanned every product, paying for them when he was finished. He grabbed his bag and went out of the store. While he made his way home, he opened a can of cola and took a few gulps of it.
He looked at his lukewarm cola. "I can really go for some tea right now," he thought as he imagined his cola to be a hot cup of tea to warm up his body with. He spotted a trashcan during his walk in the freezing cold snow and tossed the half-full can away. A smile formed on his lips as he saw Parker getting out of the bus a few meters away from him.
Parker turned to the left and saw Jumin smiling at him with a big grocery bag in his hand. "Jumin!" he beamed as they speed-walked to each other. When they were close enough, Parker hugged him tightly while Jumin wrapped his free arm around him.
"He's so warm," Jumin sighed, burying his head into his chest.
Parker let out a laugh when he noticed Jumin trying to hide under his scarf. "Is it that cold?" Jumin nodded against his chest. Parker broke the hug and took off his scarf. He wrapped it loosely around Jumin's neck with a big grin. "Better?"
"Yes," he whispered into the scarf which was covering his red cheeks. "Thanks."
Parker's grin slowly turned into a smile. "So cute." He grabbed the bag Jumin was holding and wrapped his arm around Jumin's shoulder. "Let's get out of this cold already!"
"Yeah, yeah," Jumin smiled.
After a few minutes of Parker trying to slow his pace for Jumin, they reached Jumin's house. They were met with a silent house and took their shoes and coats off.
"Where's June?" Parker asked as he grabbed the bag.
"Still working in her office. She told me that she'll be done in an hour," Jumin replied as they went to the kitchen.
"Being a scientist seems tough," he whispered while helping Jumin put the things away. "She always seems so busy with work."
"That's why I like spending time at your place. It's more lively than being alone in this dull house." Jumin turned his attention to the fridge, not wanting to make eye contact with Parker. "But I do understand she doesn't have a choice about when she's finished for the day."
"Younger me relates to that. I felt the same way when my dad had to overwork a lot back then." Parker let out a loud gasp as he stared at the box filled with chocolates wrapped in golden aluminum. He squinted his eyes, darting his eyes between the box and Jumin.
Jumin turned around quickly and sighed after seeing why Parker was acting so dramatic. "You don't have to ask. I bought them for you," he said while filling the fridge.
"For me?" Parker asked eagerly and remembered the date. His eyes widened and felt his palms sweating. "For... Valentine's Day?"
"What if it is?" Jumin covered his smile as he saw Parker's face going red. "I saw them on sale and remembered you loved them, so I thought it'd be a good idea to buy them for you. But if you don't want them, I'll give them to Miracle."
"No! I'll eat them!" Parker shouted, swiftly opening the box. "Thank you, Jumin!" He ditched the wrapper and popped one into his mouth, sighing happily when the familiar taste consumed his mouth. "Do you want one?"
Jumin shook his head and went to the counter. "I'm not in the mood for sweets," he said, turning on the kettle.
"More for me then," Parker grinned. The chocolate almost fell out of his hand when he got startled by the sound of the doorbell. "Who could that be?"
"I'll go," Jumin announced. "Don't do anything stupid."
"Why would I? I'm peacefully eating my chocolate here!"
After one last glance, Jumin went to the front door. "Must be Miracle," he thought and opened the door.
Instead of Miracle, he saw a short Asian woman standing in front of him. "Look how big you've become," she gushed, reaching out to Jumin.
Jumin took a step back and frowned at her. "Who are you?"
She smiled at him. "I'm your mother, Jumin."
A/N ayo his mom??? Haha, there isn't gonna be a love triangle, cause I feel that'd be unnecessary to the story. Now to my life. I had to work today and I was really vibing with my colleagues, which was nice. And my school closed because one of the janitors got corona. So I'm following online classes for these last two days. And back to the story. In the next chapter, we'll dive a little deeper into Jumin's mom and shit. And before that, I'm gonna read the entire story again (i remember doing it when it only had like 16 chapters). I'm gonna sleep for school tomorrow and don't kill mice

Ps. There's finally a new description!! But there's a chance I'll change it again
