The Odd Twin Out

Chapter 9

Lora quickly went through the grimoire Sheila gave her. It described how to break into the tomb. It called on a lot of power. It would be ideal to do this on a full moon but the Scooby gang wasn't all that patient. We were waiting for sundown. I decided to pull out my violin and play around for a bit. 

I hadn't played in forever. When I stopped I heard clapping behind me. Sheila, Bonnie, Caroline, Jeremy, and Anna were there watching me. I mock bowed.

"When we open the door Anna you will have 2 minutes to get in and get out before me. I will be turning everything else to ash before I leave. This is the game plan going in. Bonnie you will take over holding the spell with Aunt Sheila until I get back." I said 

I went and got the ingredients for the ritual before driving over to the cavern where everybody was to meet. Elena was on Stefan's arm and Damon was impatiently waiting for me to get there. 

"Air. Earth. Fire. Water." Sheila and I chanted as we lit the torches and poured the bottle of water

"That's it? Just water from the tap?" Elena asked seeming incredulous

"As opposed to what?" Sheila asked not in the least amused 

"I just figured maybe it would have to be blessed or mystical or something." Elena said with a shrug

"What's that?" Stefan asked Damon as he came in with a blood bag 

I rolled my eyes just knowing that Stefan and Elena are going to make something go wrong with my plans. 

"It's for Katherine. I gotta have something to get her going. Unless your girl is offering up a vein. Admit it. You can't wait to get rid of me." Damon replied

"I can't wait to get rid of you." Stefan said without hesitation
"Mm." Damon grunted

"We're ready." Sheila said as I stood to the side 

Sheila and i began the spell. 

"What it's that?" Damon asked suspiously 

"It sounds like Latin." Stefan answered 

 "I don't think it's latin." Elena criticized 

We continued the spell in the foreign language.

"What's happening?" Elena asked  

"It worked!" Bonnie said shocked

"Of course it worked." Shiela said  

"We have some fires to build." Damon said

"I'm gonna go get the gasoline, I'll be right back." Stefan told Elena with a hand on her shoulder  "You ready?" Damon turned to Elena the moment Stefan left 

"What?" Elena said with deer in the head lights look on her   

"You think I'm going to go in there by myself So you can seal me in?" Damon said sarcastically to Sheila and me  

"Don't take her in. I'll bring the walls down." Sheila warned coldly

"You'll bring walls down if I don't. You think I trust you?" Damon sneered  

"As much as I trust you." Sheila said back 

"Enough! Both of you. Look, he needs leverage. He needs to know that you're not going To shut the door when he gets inside. I get it. I'll go." Elena said over everybody  

"May I?" Damon mocked

Once they walked in a couple of minutes later Anna came through the entrance. 

"Remember two minutes is all I can give you Anna. After that your fate is sealed." I said and she ran into the tomb
