A Knock at the Door

My name......... is John Arbuckle.

While my job was being a cartoonist Liz was not attracted to me so I did the one thing I thought would win her over. I became a detective. In my three months' time of being a hardened detective, I have solved many cases. Case number one turns out it was Garfield who kick Odie off the table. Case two Liz has a boyfriend and now I am sad and then......... case three..... Well, that one won't be so easy to summarize. I was sunk in my chair defeated since the love of my life was dating someone else when all of a sudden I heard a loud knock at my door. I thought if I just ignored it it would go away, but it still kept on knocking. Before I had the chance to answer the door it was kicked down with a shirtless man quickly running into the room. It was international spy Tom Cruise he was foaming at the mouth and filled with panic and fear in his eyes. Whatever he has seen and done left a toll on him. Before I had a chance to speak Tom blurts out "ARE YOU A DETECTIVE?!?!?!!?" Sitting up from my chair I answer "Tom Cruise it is such an honor........" Before I finish Tom pulls out a gun and shoots a potted plant and yells "ARE YOU A DETECTIVE YES OR NO!?!?!?" I let out a shriek since I solve crimes and don't like violence I stammer "Yyyyeyeesssss." Tom's eyes were no longer bloodshot and darty, they now returned to the charming gaze that they were known for. Tom softly said " I need your help John Arbuckle the detective there is trouble. I was enjoying a rare moment of peace so i decided to go to a coffee shop and enjoy a warm water. While I was there I saw a man on his computer illegally downloading the mission impossible soundtrack for FREE?!?! Can you believe that?!? How pathetic do you have to be to NOT pay for  MY hit soundtrack like how broke are you?!?!? I bet he's poor. I didn't catch his face and I need a detective to help me solve this. I....I I can't do this alone John... I need help..... Could you maybe help?" John Arbuckle has been offered very little in his life since for most of it he has been the loser, the runt of the litter, the fugly duckling, and many more names but he has never been a hero, and now he has been given a chance. John stands to his feet and shakes Tom Cruise's hand and quietly says "I will."
