Book 2: Chapter 9 - Baby, Baby, Baby

"Why the fuck was Apollo over here?" Justin asked.
"What are you doing here?" I asked ignoring his question.
"So, you not gonna answer my question?"
"You show up to my house unannounced and asking me questions about who's been here. No, I don't have to answer to you."
"Damn, it's like that? I thought we were better than that."
"Justin, you made it very clear that WE were nothing anymore or did you forget?"

Justin stood there in silence. I hate that we're in this type of space. He knows how I feel about him and he feels it too. That's the only reason he will be at my door. Last time I checked, he was out having a good time.

"Can we talk?" Justin asked.

Ugh, I don't want to hear shit that he's got to say, but the other half of me is like hear him out. Fuck!

"Come in." I said stepping aside.
"This looks nice. It's more of you."
"You came here to talk to me or about my place?"
"Damn, why you so hostile?" he asked.
"If you don't know, then we can hold on the convo until you do."
"Ok. Ok. Damn. I miss you."

I miss him too. Y'all understand that I don't want to be rude to him, but I'm hurt. I saved us from a scary ass nigga who was blackmailing us and he rejected me. I want him, but I don't want to share him at all.

"You miss me?"
"Yes."
"You pushed me to the side and went out with SymphonE. Yea, I feel the love." I said leaning against the wall.
"I'm sorry for treating like that. I don't want to hurt you."
"I'm listening."
"Chris, I truly wish you could forgive me for what I said to you. I love you."
"Justin, you have to understand that even thought I'm a big, strong nigga it do have feelings too. I want my heart to be protected too."
"And I promise that I will do that." Justin said walking towards me.
"What about you and SymphonE?" I asked.
"I will find a way for her to understand the break up."
"This is some bullshit, but if it works then so be it." I laughed shaking my head.

Justin and I hugged. It felt good to be in each other's arms. My phone started to ring and so did his. I looked and it was Apollo. It was Frank for him. We both picked up.

"Apollo, what's up?"
"You need to come to the hospital!"
"What? What's going on?" I asked grabbing my keys.
"It's Nessy! She's having the baby!" Apollo said excitedly.
"Ok! I'll be there!" I shouted.

Justin received the same phone call from Frank. Even though, we've had our difference, we will always be there for Nessy. When we got there, it was nobody there. Which is good, since the news and paparazzi haven't gotten word of what's happening yet. They had us in the waiting room. Her parents were there and everyone else too. SymphonE showed up as well.

"I'll be right back." Justin said after seeing her.

Apollo walked over to me and smiled.

"What's with the smile?"
"I see y'all have patched some things up." He said.
"It's a working progress."
"Aye, as long as you're happy. That's all that matter." Apollo said tapping me on the shoulder, then walking away.

I saw the conversation between Justin and SymphonE and it looked like it went pretty well.

"How did she take it?" I asked.
"Better than I expected. She is in a relationship with another man and he proposed to her tonight."
"Fucking Hollywood." I laughed.
"The Land of Unanswered Questions." He laughed.

Griffey walked over to us and we gave him a hug. It was good to see him moving around.

"It's good to see you both. Y'all staying strong?" Griffey asked.
"Yeah, we're doing better." Justin said looking at me.
"That's good. I'm still rooting for y'all." Griffey said.
"We appreciate that." I said.

The doctor came down the hallway with RhinoS. They looked happy.

"It's a girl!" RhinoS announced.

We all shouted in excitement. RhinoS asked Nessy's parents to see her. Then, it was me and Justin. Everyone else went home except Griffey and Apollo.

"I'm glad she and the baby are doing good." Apollo said. He loves to break the ice.
"Yes, it's very good." Griffey said.
"Apollo, you were hanging with Chris tonight?" Justin blurted out.
"Justin, chill!" I snapped.
"It's ok. Yea, we hanged out. Nothing happened. Just two friends eating and talking." Apollo responded.
"Apollo, I'm so sorry for his outburst." I said apologetic.
"This is the best entertainment since y'all been gone." Griffey laughed.
"It's all good, Apollo. Chris wouldn't tell me why you were there." Justin said.
"Ok, well, just know that he's in love with you." Apollo said. My face got red.
"Oh, shit, you know about them too!" Griffey laughed.

Then, in walks RhinoS. I hate this nigga, but he saved me. I won't tell he did that and I need to make sure that Nessy stirs clear from him. We went inside and RhinoS left.

"Aw, Nessy, she's beautiful." I said looking at her baby.
"What's her name?" Justin asked.
"Meloni Kiara Harrison." Nessy said kissing her forehead.
"Wait isn't that your last name?" I asked.
"Yes. RhinoS and I aren't married yet. We said we will wait until after I gave birth and the tour." She said.
"If you say so." Justin said.
"I want yo talk to you both about something." Nessy said. "I need for you two to work out whatever happened and be happy again."
"Nessy, we're fine." I said.
"No you're not. I know you two love each other." Nessy said smiling. "I know you two thought I didn't know y'all were together."
"What?!" Justin laughed nervously. "We're just homeboys and friends."
"Yea. There's nothing going on between us like that." I said acting confused.
"Stop playing with me. I've known since the day you came back to Atlanta and Chris started acting different." Nessy said.

Damn! How the fuck did she figure this shit out? Are we not discreet enough? Well, it's no use in hiding it.

"Aite, yea, we're together." I confessed.
"And I love this oversized nigga." Justin laughed.
"Aw, I'm happy for y'all. Love and respect each other. You will need to rely on each other." Nessy said.

We gave her a hug and headed back out to the waiting room. Apollo and Griffey were up talking. I congratulated RhinoS on his baby girl and told him to take care of both of them. He shook his head and went back in.

"Alright, y'all ready to go before the paparazzi gets here?" I asked.
"Yeah, Apollo and I gonna hang for a bit." Griffey said with a smile.
"Not you too." I said shaking my head.
"What? Did I miss something?" Justin asked.
"Nothing, bae, let's go." I laughed.
