Chapter 6: Cheers to the Weekend

This morning, Cash and I took the kids to the amusement park. It was such a nice day out that it only seemed right to do it for them. At times, I was think that this is how it could be. Cash and I together with the kids all the time. It felt surreal that I didn't want it to end. I would see Sargon gravitate to Dakarai and Cash so well that it was real enough for me. It was so much laughter and happy times. While we were there, Nessy meet up with us.

"Look at y'all looking like real daddies out here." Nessy joked giving us hugs.
"You steady got jokes. Maybe you should've been the comedian instead of my brother." I said.
"Right. I've always been daddy if I can recall back in high school." Cash joked back.
"Boy that was ages ago and I don't plan on ever going back." Nessy said waving her hand.
"Wait y'all smashed?" I asked surprised.
"Yea, it was before you got there. You know you're three years younger than me and I couldn't tell you everything." Cash said nudging me. I let out a soft chuckle.
"Enough about the past! Can we talk about the future?" Nessy asked as we watched the kids on the swings. "You ready to go back to Atlanta?"
"I am. Be good to see the family again. I haven't seen them since last Thanksgiving." I said embarrassed.
"Boy, you better go see your family. You can make a bunch of them, but you only get one true family out here." Nessy said hitting my arm.
"Ow! And ok I will make sure it's the first thing I do when I go back." I said rubbing my arm.
"Thank you. Now, can we get out of this sun? You know this ain't good for my wig." Nessy said coving her face.
"Yeah, I can see it lifting up." Cash said pointing to the top of her head.

We fell out laughing and grabbed our kids. We made plans to go to the movies and see the new kids movie. I rented out the entire theater room for us so there won't be any interruptions. I ordered us snacks and food to have so we won't have to leave to get it. It's hard being a new celebrity when you want to do normal shit. Renting out a theater ain't no $300 at all. Shit I was pulling from an account that I don't even touch. But it was worth it in the end. The kids enjoyed the movie and I got to sit next to Cash. He put his hand on top of mine when the lights went down. It felt nice to do something in public. Scary, but nice. When the lights came back on, we went back to being separated individuals.

After the movies, we went over to Nessy's place. The neighborhood that she lived in was familiar to RhinoS. The house she lived in look close to his place. I tried to overlook it, but it was a constant question in the back of my head. Is this RhinoS house? I ignored it for the most part. We all made personal pizzas. Sargon had a regular pepperoni pizza. Kari had a cheese and spinach pizza. Nessy had a supreme pizza. Cash had a meat lover pizza and I had a little bit of everything on mine. What? A nigga love to eat.

The kids sat in the living room and ate while watching tv. We sat in the dining room that was in clear view of them. I didn't want them to mess up her place. I know it ain't easy getting these places and it's a bitch to keep it clean. We ate our food and drank some sparkling wine. You know the non-alcoholic kind. I didn't want to drink around the kids. I wanted to keep Sargon away from that lifestyle as much as possible. At the table, Nessy felt the need to get personal and ask questions like she always do.

"So, Cash, how's life treating you here? Everything good?" Nessy asked.
"Yea, life's been hella good. Shit, I'm here with my people and I get to work with my homie. I couldn't ask for a better life than this." Cash said happy as fuck.
"Ok, alright, you got a place? I know the prices can be through the roof." Nessy said noisily.
"Well, for the moment, I'm staying with Justin since I'm his bodyguard and everything. Also, I got my lil princess with me now. Don't want to be moving around too much." Cash said.
"I can understand that. And did you just call Justice, Justin? We going back there, Christopher?" Nessy laughed.
"Well, Ember, if you insist." I said jumping in.
"Boy, don't be saying that name around here. Everybody knows me as Nessy and I'd like to keep it that way." Nessy whispered.
"Yeah, but if they knew how you got that name—"
"See this is why you won't be invited to my wedding." Nessy blurted out, then covered her mouth.
"Wedding? Who getting married? You?" I questioned.
Nessy sighed, "Shit, I wasn't supposed to tell you that. It was supposed to be a secret."
