I walked downstairs towards the dining room as Kirby walked past.

"No time to chat. Building an international media empire." Kirby said walking away.

"I wanna build an international media empire." I said.

"Do you by any chance know JC Remington's favorite color?" Fallon asked.

"I'm sure she likes green." I said.

"Oh, well, trust me, I am backing up the truck. But everybody has money. I need edge." Fallon said. I looked at a sheet of paper to see a lot of money written on it.

"Whoa, that's a big truck." I said.

"Hey. Don't be jealous. I compensate you in other ways. Speaking of, I think you're still due for your final payment." Fallon said putting her hand on my chest.

"I take Venmo." I said.

"No, I was thinking of something else. Tonight?" Fallon asked. I nodded. "I'll clear my schedule." I went to kiss her.

"I can't. Go." Fallon said quickly pecking my cheek. I walked away.

Timeskip
I decided to surprise Fallon with lunch at work.I looked through the crack of Fallon's office door to see her sat stressed out. I knocked on her door.

"Hi." I said.

"Hey." Fallon said.

"Between the soccer stuff and your big pitch, I figured you didn't have much time to eat. Was that, uh...?" I asked.

"Yeah. The league commissioner calling to approve me as the interim CEO for the Atlantix organization." Fallon said.

"So you won." I said.

"I won. My dad will be thrilled." Fallon said.

"But you're not." I said.

"It's not really my win. It's my dad's, but apparently
those are the only wins I'm gonna get." Fallon said.

"What do you mean? Fallon, you're sitting in your own publishing house." I said.

"That will never be a real empire because I am too busy putting out my dad's fires. And every time I think I have gotten a breath of fresh air, I end up choking on his smoke." Fallon said.

"What about JC?" I asked.

"I didn't get it. Greenswell did. Led by Stuart." Fallon said. Alison walked in.

"Michael Culhane on Line 2." Alison said.

"Death threat?" Fallon asked.

"It's about the Atlantix." Alison said.

"Oh, same thing." Fallon said.

"Want me to make him sweat it for a while?" Alison asked.

"That's a team player. But no, it's all right. Better deal with it now. Give me a second, then put him through." Fallon said as her phone went off.
