I walked into the hotel room to music playing and Fallon in a leather skirt and black lingerie.

"Hello?" I called out.

"In here!" Fallon said. I walked into our bedroom. "Hey, sailor."

"Wow." I said very obviously checking her out. "That outfit's, uh... I really should've called ahead." I said .

"Why?" Fallon asked as Heidi walked in. Heidi gasped.

"Oh. Oh. Okay. This isn't exactly what I meant when I said "spice things up," but, yeah, let's do it." Fallon said.

"Jordan, this seems like a bad time." Heidi said.

"Uh, Fallon, this is Heidi from my high school
study abroad program. She's the one I told you about, remember?" I asked.

"Yes. Yes, obviously, I remember the woman you
had an unplanned child with. But I thought you mentioned that the two of you hadn't spoken since you decided to put the baby up for adoption. So I guess I'm just wondering what she's doing here right now while I'm in lingerie." Fallon said.

"We hadn't spoken. Until they showed up the other night." I said.

"They? No, no, no, no, no. I'll just..." Fallon grabbed a pillow and covered herself up. I tossed my hoodie at her and she grabbed it pulling it over the top.

"Fallon, this is Connor, my son." I said.

"Well, he has your eyes. I think." Fallon said. Heidi too her hand off his eyes.

"No, no, no. Keep your hand there. Keep your hand there." Fallon said to Heidi. Heidi, Fallon and I moved to the seating area.

"Adoption was the plan. But when I gave birth to Connor, I just couldn't bear to give him up. So I decided to raise him, alone." Heidi said.

"Right. You know, I've seen this movie before. So, how much will it take for you to go back to wherever
it is that you came from?" Fallon asked.

"California?" Heidi asked.

"Fallon, please..." I tried as I sat next to her.

"No. I mean, really. Why else would she show up
with a Van Kirk heir as soon as you get engaged to a Carrington?" Fallon asked.

"I am only here because Connor wanted to meet his father." Heidi asked.

"How do we even know that that's your kid? I mean, maybe you just rented him for the weekend to extort my fiancée." Fallon asked.

"Who rents a child?" Heidi asked.

"People do it, okay? It happens." Fallon said.

"Okay, I... I think that's enough for tonight." I said.

"Yeah. I should go. Connor's waiting for me downstairs. It was nice to meet you. And congratulations." Heidi walked out. I walked around to where Fallon sat and crouched in front of her.

"I know this is a lot to process. But they're only in town for a few days, and I feel like I should spend
at least some time with him." I said.

"Of course you do. Because you're good and kind and painfully compassionate. I understand. I mean, I really don't, but, you know, in theory." Fallon said.

"Heidi needs to go to Savannah for a meeting tomorrow, so she asked if I would spend the afternoon with Connor. And then we'll go to dinner?" I asked her.

"I mean, if you put some sushi in front of me, I could probably eat it." Fallon said.

"It's a date. And maybe afterwards you can, uh, wear this outfit again?" I asked.
