Sing to me (Fireiplier x dead reader)

Fire sat in the middle of the lake. Water around him so he couldn't destroy the trees around him. His breaths heavy as tears pour down his face.

"I can't do it..." He whispers. Looking at the grass around him burned, the dirt below his fingers crisped at the touch.

"I miss you...please..." He lays down, looking up at the moon slightly brightening up the night sky. Closing his eyes, memories flash through his mind.

The crackling of roaring flames around the forest, distant screams hears from the village over. But Fire ignored this. Still broken.

"Sing to me...one last time..." He whispers. "Please...just...once more."

Fire had always loved your singing voice. It was his favorite thing about you. When he first met you, it was the first thing he noticed. And it was the last thing he heard.

You see, Fire had the power of flames. His body being able to be set ablaze anytime he wanted, or needed. But with these powers comes also a curse.

His emotions tend to cause the flames on his body to grow more, or shorten. But his outbursts tended to cause immense damage to who, of whatever was around him.

But he and his brother, Ice, discovered that your singing voice calmed him down. And would help him control his emotions.

But, he never thought he would lose you so quickly. There was this plague going around, and Fire and Ice were immune to this. But they didn't know why.

Sadly, you weren't so lucky. The brothers found out the hard way that you contracted the horrible sickness. And there was no way to help.

Day after day, you got weaker. Losing breath, hot and cold flashes, headaches, and most of all. Lost of hunger.

But every night, you would sing Fire to sleep. Relaxing, and helping him with his powerful emotions that grew worse every day seeing you like this.

Until. You were on your death bed. Holding Fire's hand as you softly sang him a song one last time.

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away."

Your voice was weak, scratchy, and losing breath. But you held Fire's hand. Looking into his eyes.

"I'll always love you and make you happy
If you will only say the same
But if you leave me and love another
You'll regret it all some day"

Fire tried holding back tears. But they came pouring out. "D-Don't Go, (y/n). You still have so m-many songs to sing. A-and..."

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away"

Your last breath was had. As you slip away into darkness. Whispering your goodbyes as Fire's flames got stronger.

"N-No...No! NO!" He screamed. His powers getting out of control.

"Fire calm down!" Ice grabbed him and pulled him away from the bed. "You'll set the whole village aflame if you don't calm down!"

"NO! LET ME GO!" Fire burned just brother and pulled away. Glancing at you once more before running out the house. "(Y/N)! DONT GO!"

As he ran through the streets. He left flaming footsteps. Causing fires to start across the village. Leaving Ice to use his powers to help bring it down. Watching helplessly as Fire dashed into the woods.
"FIRE!"

"Y-You'll never know, dear. How m-much I love you...p-p-please don't take...my sunshine away." Fire sings to himself as he closed his eyes.

"Please...I want to hear your voice..."

"Sing to me, (y/n)."
