Chapter 6

"3. . .2. . .1," Brook counted down.

Whoa, she knows how to count down.

"Ew, oh my gosh," the New Girl screamed. Brook and I watched in her car, parked a few blocks away from the screeching poor girl. "What is that?"

The New girl was already out her car with all the doors opened. We watched as she uses her phone flashlight to find what it was in her car. "Yo, are you ready to go?" Our heads turn to Damon, just coming out from his house. "Damn, Lively, did you even shower?"

"Shut up, moron. It's my car," the New Girl whined.

"Shut up, moron. It's my car," Brook mimic. "Gawd, she's so annoying. I don't even know why Damon is so interested in her."

"Ah, it looks like you just got prank," Damon teased.

"Landon!" The New Girl yelled, stomping her feet towards her house.

Then, we turned to Damon who leaned over by the driver's seat. He stands up and it looks like he was making his way to the trunk of the car.

Oh, no.

When Brook and I realized what he was going to do, it was already too late. Damon opens the trunk to reveal the skunk trapped in there. "What the fuck!?" We hear his shriek.

And I am guessing the skunk has release his odor.

"What happened?" we see the New Girl rushing out her house. She walks to Damon then instantly backs away once she get a scent of him. She said something but we couldn't hear.

Damon opens his mouth and we watch as his lips move, not knowing what he is saying.

"What are they talking about?" Brook asked. And then, we stare in shock as Damon follows the New Girl in her house.

What a fail!

"Ugh, this is all your fault, Cassie. If you weren't so dumb, this plan would have worked. I thought you said Damon won't be home," Brook suddenly blames me. An appalled expression was threatening to appear on my face, but I stopped it and just gave Brook an apologetic look.

"He's not supposed to be home on Monday nights," I said.

"Well, today he's home," she spats. I apologized to her again. She drives off in a haste. The whole ride to my house, she was complaining and blaming me for tonight's failed plan. Well, it was her plan.

It's your stupid plan, I wanted to say.

When I hopped out of her car, she just reminded me that we have cheer practice tomorrow then drove off from my driveway.

Ugh, I hope you get in an accident.

Maybe Marco does know what he is talking about. I do dislike Brook so much and all I want her to do is to leave this place and die. With or without her, my life is already a living hell. With her, it's worst with those mean insults every single day and her fucking orders.

"Ever," I hear my dad called out for me as soon as I stepped in the house.

"Yes, dad?" I hollered, looking for wherever his voice came from.

"We're in the dining room, Leigh," I hear my mom's voice echo. That was weird. My parents are both home. This was a first for a long time.

I was beginning to think they were getting a divorce or something. Like, every time my dad comes home, that's like a day after my mom leaves and vice versa.

Or maybe, they want to tell me together that they are getting a divorce. I wouldn't really mind because I have basically grew up with two different decisions for everything in my life.
