"Katrina, there are different dimensions. They've always existed but not everyone knows it and not everyone knows how to cross them. Since ancient times, the creatures of one or other dimensions have crossed. In the beginning, when they realized they could do it, they sent spies to find out who'd be able to cross to their dimension and who couldn't. For some reason, they were distrustful and afraid to find a dimension that wanted to destroy them. That's not strange, is it? We all want to be sure who we let into our lives and who we don't want. We sent our Setnoelamach, in the language of our ancestors means Chameleons, and they are our spies. Scrit, for example, is one of them. These beings have no form of their own, and they only adapt different forms to camouflage themselves and not be discovered. We sent them to all dimensions to observe the beings that lived in them and when those beings would, for some reason come to ours, we could know if they had to be thrown out of here or not. We never had any problems with anyone until one of our Setnoelamach went to your dimension. He never came back. We sent another of ours to look for him, Tunhé, whom adapted the shape of a bird. When he returned, he returned with Diagog, the Setnoelamach we had sent first. He was dead. He adapted the shape of a dog and your kind killed him. Tunhé explained what he had seen in your dimension; that you... You kill each other, you kill the Earth that gives you life, you destroy everything and you investigate how to get to other places to do the same. That is why you aren't allowed to enter any of the other dimensions. The rumor spread throughout all the worlds, thanks to the fact that you don't yet know how to do it, and even so without even having achieved it yet; you have already blocked the passage to any of the dimensions that we know of and probably to those that we don't even know of. That's why we call you Senodearp. Which, in our ancient language, means The Destroyers."

Katrina looked at the large screen that covered the entire oval room and listened carefully. She didn't know what to say and she felt a little embarrassed because she didn't disagree with anything the panther said.

"So that's why the bridge was falling apart under your feet. It's a natural reaction to protect us from you without having to attack you." The panther continued. "It hadn't happened to you before because Muuqe, the white horse that brought you here, gave you a gift. So, nature hasn't been able to detect you as quickly as human, but here in this place where we are right now is the heart of the island. Here, you can't lie to nature. It's too wise. Even giving you the Roro Oil, that can hide your true nature, can't deceive it. The effect of the oil will only last for a while, so later you'll need to finish the process to hide that you are human. If you don't want to die from a natural catastrophe or collapse, of course."

Katrina swallowed and nodded without saying a word.

"The majority of the inhabitants of this dimension have a gift. Muuqe has the gift of communication, which gives the ability to others to speak the same language, and I have the power to read the hearts of others. The real truth of every living being."

Aerdnah looked at Katrina deeply and continued talking. She continued to watch the screen and pay attention to the animal's words. "Many years ago, when we all decided that humans wouldn't be allowed to step into our dimension, Muuqe disagreed with us. He said that in some corner of your world, there had to be a pure heart. Not only one but perhaps many! Only, we'd only found those who weren't, and that it was impossible for a whole world to be like that. We tried to convince him that he wasn't right, and that we wouldn't send any more Setnoelamach; risking them to lose their lives again. So Muuqe offered himself to cross the dimension and find those pure hearts that he so longed to show, that existed in your world. So he did. He crossed over to your dimension, and when he came back, he brought a human pup with him. He told us that he'd been observing closely and that the pups have a pure heart. It proved that you're not born being Senodearp, but that you become that way with the passage of time. However, it also didn't convince us to let any of you pass. It didn't make sense, to do so. If any of you found a way to cross over; it wasn't going to be a pup. It would be one of your grown ones. Muuqe was disappointed and crossed again to return the baby. He took forever to return, and when he did, he brought it back again with him. We told him he was crazy and to return that baby to his human mother right away, but he didn't find a way to do it. When one crosses dimensions, you don't always reappear in the same place. So Muuqe could never return to the same place where he found Matt. Well, or Xer, is what he calls himself now..."
