I then snapped out of my thoughts and look towards my worrying friend.

Aoi: You're still thinking about that day, aren't you...
I just sighed and held my head down. The events of that day flashed through my mind.
(Flashback, a couple of months ago)

The trees flies past me from both sides as I ride down the hill in top speed. I could see the open, empty road in front of me and further ahead, the finish line was within reach.
(Flashback over)
I shook my head and got back to reality. I then took a deep breath and exhaled to calm myself down.
Akiri: I still don't get why you came with me. You could have just-
Aoi: I told you. I'm your friend. And I'm not gonna leave you when you need me the most
I just smiled while keeping my gaze in front of me. Aoi has been my best friend for as long as I can remember. We are so close that our friends considers us as brothers. They are kind of right to assume that. Ever since my mother passed away when I was 5, I have been taken care of by Aoi's mother.
