The next day, as the newly appointed dorm mothers, me and Aoi are preparing breakfast for the boarders.

I am cutting the vegetables and I stopped and took a look at the knife I am using

I am cutting the vegetables and I stopped and took a look at the knife I am using.

Akiri: Hey, Aoi. Could you pass me another knife? I think this one is dull

Aoi grabs a knife and handed it to me.

Aoi: Here

Akiri: Thanks

I then got back to work.

Akiri: Oh yeah, this is much better

At the dinner table, was Kanako in her school uniform who has just finished eating her breakfast.

Kanako: Mmm. That's some good eatin'. Akiri-kun, Aoi-kun, you're both good at cooking. Can I have some more rice?

Aoi: Sure, a big bowl right?

Kanako: You know it!

Akiri: You shouldn't eat too much. We're responsible for your health too, you know?

Kanako: Got it!

Aoi: So the others don't need breakfast, huh?

We notice that no one has come into the dining hall except for Kanako.

Sometimes there would be someone walking through the hallway in front, but they seem to be sneaking around. They probably think we didn't notice, but we did.

Kanako: Hmm?

Kanako took a glance towards the hallway, just as the oldest of the boarders, Yuka, was taking a peek before quickly running off.

Kanako: Geez, they're all so naive. They still haven't gotten use to boys

Kanako said while putting another spoonful of rice into her mouth.

Aoi: But Keifuu is a coed school, right?

Kanako: Even if you go to the same school as them, you won't see them with their bed-heads and faces without makeup

Akiri: Good point

Aoi: *sigh* It seems that, two boys being the dorm mothers of a girls dormitory will have its problems after all...

We then got to cleaning the kitchen and Kanako got back to eating her breakfast. After a while later, we have finished cleaning the kitchen.

Kanako: Thanks for the meal. Whew, that was good!

She stacked up the dishes on the counter.

Kanako: Everyone will get used to you two soon! Well then, I'm off now!

I looked at her plate and saw that she had eaten it all. Not a single grain of rice was left on it.

Aoi: To have people enjoy our cooking feels pretty good, doesn't it?
