Chapter 7: Shopping

I am currently helping Aoi with repairing the roof of the dormitory. Aoi is on top of the ladder finishing up the repairs on the leaks.

Aoi: That should be the last of them

Aoi then carefully came down the ladder.

Akiri: Good work, Aoi

Aoi: Thanks. Next is...

Hat: Quack quack!

We look over to see Hat minding his own business and pecking at the grass.

Akiri: Hey there, Hat. Where's your partner?

Hat: Quaack!

I have no clue what he's saying, but he looks pretty bored.

Akiri: Sorry, me and Aoi got work to do

Hat: Quack

Hat just waddled off to who knows where.

Aoi: We're going to need to do some shopping today

Akiri: I'll go

Aoi: You sure?

Akiri: Yeah. You pretty much did most of the work already. I'm the dorm mother too, you know?

Aoi: Well, if you say so

I walked away and went into the dormitory and head to my room.

As I was walking, my phone suddenly rings and saw that it was a call from An-chan. I quickly answered it.

Akiri: This is Akiri

An-chan: Hey, Akiri. It's about that part you mailed me yesterday

Akiri: So, can you do it?

An-chan: Yeah, I can pull a few strings for you and get it done

An-chan's family runs a factory. It's known as a 'town factory' and it seems that they manufacture special order-made parts. He works there right now. If An-chan can't do it, he might be able to use his connections to introduce me to other factories.

Akiri: Right. Thanks again, An-chan

An-chan: No problem

With that, he hung up.

After I finished getting ready, I walked out of my room and head towards the front door. But I stopped midway and looked towards Kotori's room.

Akiri: (thoughts) She's been in her room all day...

I then decided to walk towards her room and knocked on the door.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

Akiri: Kotori, you up?

No answer.

*knock* *knock* *knock*

Akiri: Kotori?

No answer once again. I then thought of something and a smirk grew on my face.

Akiri: Miss Allule

The door quickly opens.

Kotori: Shut up! What do you want!

Akiri: I'm going to do some shopping. You wanna come with me?

Kotori: Huh? Is that the reason why you interrupted my peaceful sleep?

Akiri: It's noon already. Oversleeping is not healthy

Kotori: Why do I have to go with you?

Akiri: Come on, it's shopping for the dormitory. You need to eat too, don't you? And besides, it's a nice sunny day outside
