I dreamed of a wolf—approaching and taking away all my happiness, it was rogue, and it was no other than Charlotte.

The news of her arrival spread like a wild fire, causing panic and uproar, especially among us. I wasn't afraid of her, just uncertain. She was causing a lot of trouble for me and it wasn't going to end well. I believed in Luciano and that he'd never love another female or put one beside me. He loved me with everything he had and it showed.

"Where is she?" Luciano asked the guard.

"She's with her father, Mr. Alboino," The man replied, his eyes clicking at all directions.

"How was she able to get in?" The guard shrugged at his question and then Luciano dismissed him away.

The air around us thickened with tension, I started peeling the frail skin over my lips as my brows furrowed together at the thought of Charlotte. Luciano stomped back and forth the room, thinking, forcing decisions. I grabbed his arm as he reached for the door.

"You can't kill her," I whispered to him. My mistakes made her evil or else she was good. Killing her again would be selfish.

"I'm going to kill her, Red. She harmed you, she hit you—how dare she?" Luciano said, frustrated. His eyes bulged with hatred for the woman he once loved and cared about.

"I know but killing her won't do good. The witches will probably bring her back to life. Just say her to go away," I asked him, hoping he'd agree.

"Red,"

"Please,"

"Leave me, I will see to it." His voice became cold and sharp.

I dropped his arm and set him free. He immediately walked out of the door with hell-hot eyes to avenge what Charlotte had done to me. When I heard his footsteps burn away into the silence, I turned around to Jaqueline.

"Are you sure the spell is going to work?" I asked. The only thing I cared about was ensuring my child's existence.

"The spell will work if any harm passes your way, don't worry, you're safe and so is your child." Jaqueline said, sounding promising.

I held her hands in mine and said, "Thank you,"

"We are sisters, I'd do anything for you. You should go check up on Luciano before he kills Charlotte. We both know why the witches bought her back to life,"

I chewed my lip and then walked away from her room, leaving Jaqueline to her comfort. I took slow steps downstairs, not wanting to stop Luciano. I wanted him to kill Charlotte but at the same time, I didn't. My emotions were mixed. She had harmed my child, and did a lot of worse things but death wasn't what she deserved.

My sense heightened when I heard chaos in a chamber at the north of the castle. I heard Luciano and Charlotte speaking or more like yelling. My head hurt at the voice of them arguing but I went into that direction anyway. No one knew that I had arrived at the castle so I hid myself until I reached the room where I found Luciano and Charlotte.

"She's lying, I didn't do anything to her. We both know that she's a big, fat liar!" I heard Charlotte speak ill about it. It made me mad.

When I stepped inside the room, I found another man, he looked similar to Charlotte—presumed father. He stood in front of Charlotte and protected her just as a father would protect it's daughter. I wanted the same.

"You're not going to do anything to my daughter!" He growled at Luciano, showing his teeth.

I came beside him and wrapped my hand around his arm. When I looked at Charlotte, yesterday night flashed in front of me, and I remembered each and every single detail of her hitting me, threatening me.

"We don't have to kill her," I whispered to Luciano, pushing away my own anger.

"You don't get to speak in this!" The old man said, "You're the reason why she died,"

"And you don't raise your voice at my wife," Luciano stepped forward and growled at the old man who immediately backed away. "And as for you," he moved his head to Charlotte and continued, "You're leaving the castle if you want to live. I don't want to see you around because if I do, I will kill you so get the fuck out of here. You don't belong her and you defiantly don't deserve my mercy."

I shuddered at his words. At least, he was not throwing hands on her.

"This is my pack—"

"This isn't your pack. You were banished," Luciano reminded her.

"I'm not leaving. Father, he can't force me to leave," Charlotte pouted, looking at the old man, hoping he'd help her.

"No, Charlotte, we are going to leave. We have nothing to do with this pack." The man grabbed his daughter's hand, glanced at Luciano one more time before running out of the castle.

I looked at Luciano who was still filled with anger, "It's okay, we don't have to kill her. She's gone and that is all that matters," I said to him.

"If I ever see her again, she's dead."

The sheets were soaked wet when I lifted the duvet to cover my body. Luciano got off me and stumbled beside me, his body still pressing hard against me. I curled up into a ball and let his strong arms secure me.

"Did I hurt you?" He asked, lowering his lips to my ears.

He had just fucked me. There was no hurt in that. "Of course not," I laughed, wiggling around.

"Tell me if I ever do,"

"I know you won't so let's forget the past and move on. We are going to have a baby soon and I want to provide all of our love for—" I paused for a second, not knowing the gender, "—for whatever it turns out to be,"

"I hope it's a girl, like you," He whispered, touching my hair. "Strong and beautiful just like you,"

I shook my head, "No, I wish it's a boy. I always wanted a boy,"

"Well, whatever it is, I hope our child has the best life in the world," Luciano replied, ignoring both of us comments on the gender.

"Of course, it will."

It was for the rest of the night I wondered about our child—it would have everything it ever wanted. I'd make sure that it would never lack anything in it's life. After everything, I never cared about anything as much as I did for my child and Luciano. They both were my entire world and I wasn't going to lose any of them.

Luciano promised to protect me during the entire pregnancy, and after birth of our child, we were going to leave the castle for a while so the witches wouldn't hunt me down. Gretel wasn't going to stop, she was going to come for me. Whatever her objective was, I wasn't going to complete it. She could kill werewolves by herself if she wanted but I wasn't going to help her and nothing could force me into it.

There was a little uncertainty, I didn't know what my child would turn out to be—a witch, a werewolf or a hybrid? I wanted it to be a human but that wasn't possible. I was willing to accept whatever kind of creature it would be.

At the end of the day, it would be my child.
