Chapter 14-Minor fall, Holoforms, and Suspicions

Sam threw open the doors of the tallest building around and we ran in with Megatron following us after. "You're not gonna get me! You're not gonna get me!" Sam repeated under his breath as we started running up the stairs. Suddenly, Megatron burst into the building. I had been running up the stairs behind Sam, launched myself at him and pushed him to the ground so that Megatron didn't see them right away. "I smell you, humans!" Megatron roared. I pushed Sam forward, urging him to move forward slowly. He started crawling, and when Megatron decided to start shooting up the room, I used the noise as a distraction and ran up the stairs, Sam close behind me. I slowed to let Sam go in front of me so that I could keep an eye on him and the Cube. Eventually, they made it to the top, out of breath.

A group of Black Hawk helicopters were circling the area, and I assumed that it was trying to find them. I hit the flare against the wall and held it up into the air. The helicopters turned in their direction, and soon one of the men in them were holding their hands out for the Cube. "We've got the boy, also the girl." the man said into his radio. Sam was about to hand the Cube over, but I looked over to a building, seeing a Decepticon, and tackled Sam to the ground, yanking the Cube out of the soldier's grasp and protecting Sam. Starscream swooped out of nowhere, shooting at the helicopters. The one that had the soldier in it got hit and spiraled to the ground. I let out a curse as the tail of the Black Hawk hit the building. That had been their extraction. I turned back to the door that had led out onto the roof just as Megatron came bursting onto the roof. "Is it fear or courage that compels you, fleshlings?" Megatron asked. I bit back the retort that I had on the tip of my tongue and decided that silence was better in this case. "Give me the Cube and I'll spare you, little humans!" I glanced at Sam, who had looked ready to wet his pants five seconds ago. But now, in the face of danger, his expression hardened. "We'll never give you the AllSpark!" he shouted as Megatron's eyes narrowed. "Oh, so unwise," he said in mock disappointment. "So unwise, even for you femme." He continued. Sam's face turned back to the I'm-gonna-wet-my-pants expression. "Sam..." I muttered.

I knew that Optimus was rushing to get to them, but I had no way to tell Sam that without Megatron overhearing. "Thanks for always being there for me, RJ," Sam told me. I almost rolled my eyes when I realized that the idiot thought that Optimus would let them die. Before she could reply, Megatron used his mace to destroy the corner of the roof that Sam and RJ were standing on. I let out a scream as I saw the ground growing closer and closer to them. The fear that had been absent during the past few hours caught up with me, and I felt more afraid than I ever had in my life. My powers stopped working; it must have had something to do with my fear and I didn't know that I was not good under too much pressure. So, when Sam landed in a giant metal hand and I was out of his reach. "Noooo, RJ," Sam yelled trying to grab my hand. I made a forcefield around my body the best I could. I heard a "I got you," from Optimus to Sam. I instantly felt pain as I hit the ground blacked out.  When I came to and ran to where Sam, Optimus, and Megatron were.  Meanwhile, Megatron had kicked Optimus hard in the stomach, causing the Prime to fly into a building. "You never know how close you were to your daughter, Prime." Megatron shouted at Optimus. "No!" Sam shouted as Megatron ran for him, and he felt someone push him forward to the ground, grabbing the Cube, and they held out in front of them.

Before Optimus, Megatron, or Sam could react, the person shoved the Cube into Megatron's Spark. The affect was instant and the information in the cube was transferred to the person. When the Cube disappeared into Megatron, Megatron was coughing and on his knees. It looked like he was choking. Finally, the leader of the Decepticons took his last breath. "You left me no choice, brother," Optimus muttered as Lennox, the other soldiers, and the Autobots moved closer to them. Optimus and Sam looked at who pushed the cube into Megatron's chest and saw RJ stretching as if she was in pain. "Take that, Megadork." I said in pain, laughing. Then he looked to everyone. "We gained new ones." he said to everyone. "Hey, Jazz, I won the bet. Now you have to be my servant for a month." I shouted to him. "Oh glitch." Jazz muttered. Optimus returned it as he knelt to Sam's and my height. "Sam, RJ, I owe you two my life, we are in your debt." he said. As he stood up again, they turned at the sound of an engine. Out of a half-standing tunnel a tow truck appeared, with Mikaela at the wheel and Sideswipe sitting on the back. He yelled in happiness when he saw Sunstreaker and I, and as she got out of the truck, Mikaela stood beside the scout and smiled at Sam. Sideswipe waved at me smiling that I was okay. Sunstreaker and I stand beside Sideswipe who was still attached to the tow truck as Optimus looked between at Lennox and his men, Mikaela, Sam, and I.
