Chapter 4-Cons, cons two much, Symbols, and Optimus' death

RJ P.O.V. Mikaela was waiting with her guard dog, Bones, for Sam over Skype to their date night. I behind her, working on upgrades on new weapons, and hacking into Sam's phone just in case he didn't accept Mikaela's call. "RJ, where is Sam?" Mikaela asked sounding mad. I looked over to my laptop and the phone was moving somewhere with Bee's signal, zoom out more, then Optimus' signal popped up. "It looks like Sam's moving away from his collage to go somewhere with Bumblebee to where Optimus is." I said looking back at her. Then there was a beeping, Mikaela and I looked at my laptop seeing what looks like a Decepticon symbol beside Sam. "Does that suppose to happen." Mikaela asked once again. "It's probably a glitch in the computer." I replied tapping a few keys. "Let's head back to your place." I said to Mikaela, seeing that she didn't want to be here for tonight. I stopped seeing the symbols from the shards, my powers started going haywire. I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Mikaela looking worried. "Are you ok." She asked me. "Yeah, I'm fine. I think I was overworked for last two years with the Autobots." I said, giving Mikaela a small smile. I grabbed my laptop, shutting it, putting it in its bag, grabbing the rest of my things as Mikaela also got ready. "Ready, RJ" Mikaela asks waiting at the door after giving Bones his food. "Yep" I said yawning as we walked through the doors to Sunstreaker who was parked outside. Once we reach her house, we feel asleep rather quickly. 

In the morning, Mikaela's dad called us down for breakfast. "Let's hope Sam doesn't call either of us." Mikaela grumbled. "It's ok, Mikaela, he was brought to Optimus for something important or something else." I told her. "I'll see you two at the shop." Mikaela's dad said sitting at the table drinking coffee and reading a newspaper. "Don't worry, Mikaela, he is stupid but I'm surprised that he even got in Collage." I said making her chuckle at my comment about Sam. Just as we opened the shop, Sam called Mikaela now her phone. "Yes, Samuel?" Mikaela said rudely as I laughed a bit knowing what was about to happen to Sam. "Hello? Mikaela?" Sam said while Mikaela put her phone on speaker. "I can't believe you're gonna stand me up on our first web chat date. I had RJ track where you were." Mikaela said back. "Something just happened to me, okay?" Sam said franticly. "What, you finally hit puberty?" Mikaela said to him laughing. "No, no, no. Stop laughing. This is serious. Okay." Sam said over the speaker phone. "Remember I was telling you about my great-great-grandfather, Archibald Witwicky? Remember?" Sam said about his project two years ago. "Watch it, watch it, watch... No! Okay, remember how I was telling you..." Sam said to someone on his end. "Okay. Can you stop? Watch the foot! Watch your foot!" he continued. "Mikaela, okay, my great-great-grandfather went on this Arctic mission, right?" he said, but didn't let us get a word in. 

"And he saw Megatron. Megatron zapped him, and he started seeing these crazy symbols. Okay. Well, now I'm seeing them, too. Excuse me. I just read a 903-page astronomy book in 32.6 seconds." He said before he slams a door on his end. "I had a meltdown in the middle of my class. I am seeing symbols ever since I..." he continued. "Since what?" I asked shocked that he was seeing the same thing as me. "Ever since I touched the Cube splinter." He said in recognition. "You're been the symbols has well." I said to him. "Do you have it?" Sam asked Mikaela disregarding me. "Yeah, I have it." Mikaela said to Sam wondering why. "It's in the shop safe. It's fine." Mikaela said about the second shard. "Mikaela, do not touch it, okay?" Sam said suspiciously. "Don't touch it." he said again. "I'm not gonna touch it." Mikaela said looking at me. "And RJ said that she'd been seeing the same symbols as you do." Mikaela told Sam. "Sam, it's fine. It's locked away. No one knows where it is." She continued. 

I had a blowtorch in my hand because I was going to do something when I heard something. "What are you looking at, slobber puss?" a voice said behind me. I turned around and saw a MiniCon trying to get in the safe. I walked over to it with a blowtorch. I whacked the con away from the safe, then grabbing the con by the neck. "Hold on." Mikaela said to Sam noticing me with something. "RJ has something, and it doesn't look so good." She said as she walked over to where I was. "what do you want you two bits con." I yelled at the con. "What is RJ doing? Is there a Decepticon with you two? What's going on over there?" I heard Sam asked. "Is that the best you got, huh? Is that the best you can do?" the con said to me with Mikaela behind me. "What are you doing here, you little freak?" I said as I blowtorched one of its eyes. "That's my eye, you crazy bitch!" he said back.
