Chapter 12-Getting the Cube and Going to Mission City

When everyone entered the room, Bee and Sideswipe headed to the AllSpark and placed their hands on it. "Alright, they're doing something," Epps observed. The Cube started shrinking as soon as it half from its original size Sideswipe let go and the cube was soon the same size as a basketball in Bumblebee's hand. "Oh my god," Mikaela muttered. Bumblebee turned to Sam, Mikaela, Sideswipe, and RJ. "Message from Starfleet, Captain," he told them. "Let's get to it." Sideswipe said to which Lennox nodded. "They're right. We stay here, we're screwed with Megatron in the other hangar. Mission City is twenty-two miles away. We're gonna sneak that Cube out of here and we're gonna hide it somewhere in the city. But we can't make a stand without the Air Force. Sir, you got to figure out some way to get word out of them. Let's move!" Will said to Keller. 

Before any of them could act, the loudspeakers started squawking. "Warning! NBE-One cryotainment failing!" the announcer said. "Hurry, hurry!" Lennox ordered the three teens, shoving them into either Bee or Sideswipe as the engineers began evacuating the NBE- One chamber. The second I slammed the door closed beside me, Bee and Sides shot off, driving at top speeds to Mission City. As they were halfway to Mission City, we saw the Autobots, Bee and Sides honked their horns, and the Autobots swerved behind Will and his crew. Then I heard a police siren from a car. When I turned and saw it was the same cop that had fought with Bee, Sideswipe, and Sunstreaker that I had stabbed in the eye. I could also sense two other Decepticons with him, and they were much bulkier than the cop was. "Let me out," I ordered automatically. I waited for Sideswipe to slow, but he didn't. "Sides, I'm telling you, let me out. I'll slow him down and catch a ride to Mission City with Sunstreaker." The car kept moving, and I groaned. I tried forcing the door open, but Sides stayed stubbornly closed. "Sideswipe! He's getting closer and he's not stopping! Let me OUT!" I snapped. When Sideswipe didn't move, I rolled down the window and wiggled out of it, climbing onto the top of the car. Sam stuck his head out from Bee and saw me on Sides roof. "RJ!" he shouted, but I ignored him. 

There were three Decepticons heading towards them. The cop car was in front and attempting to make space for him and the others by using his sirens. The other two, however, were forcing their way through and crushing anything that got in their way. I knew that I had to stop them before they killed more innocent people. "Sideswipe, take Bee and get the Cube to Mission City!" I ordered. The car let out a squeak of protest, but I ignored him and slid from the roof, rolling forward when I hit the ground. I took out my bazooka, and without hesitation, I shot the cop car (who was leading) in the tires, causing him to have to slow, putting the bazooka back and getting my phaser guns. The other two almost ran into him. A Decepticon that looked like a tank shot at me, but I had already run to the cop car and put my Vibranium/Adamantium nano armer on. The bullets ended up shooting off me. I smirk from under my mask and shot fire at the tank's tires, causing it to slow, as well. Soon, only the other vehicle (I couldn't exactly tell what type of vehicle it was) was moving. The two damaged Decepticons transformed, causing nearby people to start screaming. "Hey!" I shouted. The Decepticons turned to me, and I shot the cop car in the same eye that I had stabbed him in. "Remember me?"i shouted smirking He lifted its cannon and was about to shoot at me, but I ran to the Decepticon. The cop car shot at me when I was closing in. "Why don't you come and fight me?" The cop car growled and walked towards me. I shot at him again, causing him to roar in anger. He was just about to lunge towards me when my forcefield activated on its own with the four main elements and the cop car ran straight into it, but he bounced off with a howl of pain. 

Me, not knowing what exactly had happened, thinking one of the other shields was a protective shield in front of me. Cautiously, I inched forward with the shield and the cop car watched me warily. When I was a few feet away, the cop car struck out with a sword. The sword hit my shield, and I felt the force that the cop car was pushing down onto the shield with. I tried pushing back, and somehow the shield stayed in the same place, despite how hard the cop car was pushing. They stayed like that for a while, each one trying to overpower the others. My legs started shaking, and I didn't notice the other two Decepticons sneaking around me. If I broke the lock that I had with the cop car, he would kill me, but if I didn't, the others would kill me. I was dead both ways. Suddenly, I heard two roars, a giant blue and red figure plowed into the two Decepticons behind her and a gold figure plowing plowed into the cop car. I recognized as Optimus and Sunstreaker, turned around and I helped Optimus with the two Decepticons. The Decepticon that I was fighting was warier now that he had seen some of my powers could do. He lunged forward with blades whirring in front of him. I went into my cool avatar state with the Nano armor, built an unbreakable wall, and the Decepticon's swords bounced off. I struck out with lava bending whip, wrapping it around his neck and with a mighty tug, the lava melted the chords connecting its head to its body. I laughed as it rolled to the ground. There was a shout from behind me. "RJ! Watch out!" Sunstreaker shouted.  I turned and saw the cop car running towards her, Sunstreaker in pursuit and his gun pointing at the cop car, while the cop car's gun was pointed at me. I instantly tried to move my metal wall in front of me, but the police car's bullets bounced off my Nano armor instead. The cop car, now close enough, drew his swords and lunged at me. Before I could relax, Optimus and Sunstreaker was between them, Optimus' sword and Sunstreaker's shield meeting the cop cars. However, because of their bad angles, the cop car was able to overpower them and gave them a deep cut on the arm each as I gasped. "Sunstreaker! Optimus!" I exclaimed, instantly concerned. 

I threw a creation shield between Optimus, Sunstreaker, and the cop car, giving Optimus and Sunstreaker a chance to get out of the battle and rest. However, he didn't move and stood behind the shield, glaring at the cop car. "Listen to me. If you so much as touch this girl, you will have to answer to me. Do you understand?" Sunstreaker growled. I gave him a strange look, wondering why he was acting so protective of me. Did he like me back? It really wasn't a good idea to be thinking about your love life in the middle of a battle. I used my shield to push the cop car back, away from Optimus and Sunstreaker. Eventually, sensing that the battle was lost, the cop car turned back into a car and drove away. I was about to go after him, but Optimus and Sunstreaker stopped me. "Let him go," Sunstreaker told me gently. "Why?" I asked. "He almost killed you!" Sunstreaker said as he maintained eye contact with me. 

"We want the Decepticons to know that you are under the Autobots protection," Optimus answered this time. Then they winced, rubbing the gashes that the cop car had given them and I stepped forward. "Let me try something. I took a wielding class by Mikaela's dad years ago." I said as I made a blowtorch and tested it. Once I was sure that it worked, I moved it towards Optimus' arm. Soon Optimus' arm was wielded back together and Sunstreaker's was also done after that. They weren't perfect, but I wasn't a medic. Hopefully it would hold up until they got to Ratchet. Optimus and Sunstreaker transformed, Sunstreaker threw open his door, I got in closing the door and they headed towards Mission City to get the Cube. Not knowing if anyone is safe after what happened on the highway. I climbed out of Sunstreaker once we reached Mission City. When they reached the city, the people there seemed to be none the wiser, not even as the soldiers pulled up. As all the vehicles came to a stop outside the local pawn collectibles shop and Lennox came running out of the shop. "Come on, let's go!" he shouted, carrying shortwave radios in his arms. "Mount up!" Lennox said to everyone.
