Olen
I saw her from my window. Unlike other newbies she was not dragged in, she was not kicking or screaming. She walked in casually like it was some mall or something. But her outfit contradicted her, it made her look defeated and tired of living. Her dark brown hair was up in a messy bun and she wore a really old t-shirt, the kind you wear when you're painting or doing something in the garden. Her faded jeans looked liked they hadn't seen a day in a laundry room and her shoes, actually her shoes were okay.
She walked in with two guys probably body guards but the other one didn't have the physique of a body guard.
Great another rich girl with daddy issues, I could tell she was rich even though she wore clothes that looked like they came out of a dumpster, probably to spite her parents. You'd be surprised what these girls do to get attention from their rich parents who are too busy to even remember their children's birthdays."Dude did you see the newbie?" Zeke shouted as soon as he kicked the door open .
"No..." I lied not sure why though but for some reason I did.
"She's pretty hot but she could do with a change of clothes and maybe a shower. She looked pretty hungover. And Jack said we should give her a tour of the place."
I didn't usually make friends but Zeke and I got along because of two things or maybe three. One we arrived here at around the same time and we had shared the same room. Two they couldn't figure out what was wrong with us so they told us that we were criminally insane. I didn't even know that was a thing until I came here, you know at some point I thought it was just a thing they made up to keep us here. I remember when I was fifteen I went to this physiatrist and she told me that I might have bipolar disorder but she couldn't confirm it because the symptoms weren't clear. I was only a kid then and I didn't look into it and my dad didn't care enough to even consider but as soon as he got a chance he threw me into this hellhole.
" Where's your head at dude?" Zeke whispered. We had been walking and I didn't even realise that we had reached the reception.
Zeke was right. She was pretty hot but you couldn't see it because her her was messier than what I saw from the window. Her blue eyes showed no life in them, she had bags under her eyes and her face was very pale, she actually looked dead. Her clothes, God her clothes. They looked worse now that I was standing right next to her and the fact that her shirt was oversized made her look worse than she already did. But she was hot nonetheless.
"You boys should show Ms. Horsley to her room. She will be on the your floor in room 405. Her bags are in the inspection room and they will be taken to her as soon as the inspection is done." Jeff said walking the two guys who had brought her here.
No one had been brought to our floor in a really long while. So that made me really curious as to why she was brought to our floor. What they did that they designed the place in way that different floors were assigned to people with different mental conditions.
The first floor was the center there was the reception area, the labs and pharmacies. The theraphy rooms and the computer lab which was totally off limits but for some reason it was there. There is also the "mirror room" I despise the room especially when I was a newbie.
Second floor was basically for Schizophrenia and Autism. Not a place I'd want to be. People from the second floor don't socialize with anyone else. And they are under special care and therefore they're always watched.
Third floor. This was probably the most loaded floor. It was for deppression and substance disorders. People came in and out, their healing programme was the shortest. It was usually five months or more depends on the individual's healing.
The Fourth floor, our floor was a mixture but in all the hundred rooms on this floor only five were used so I knew everyone up here and their story.
There was me , Zeke , Bia , Fred and now her."So what's a pretty face like yours doing at a place like this?" Zeke asked her and if looks could kill that one, that one would've have murded Zeke.
Zeke remained unfazed so he continued to hit on the poor girl but she simply ignored him the entire time.
We got to our floor and Zeke had not given up, this guy has patience. I would've let her be as soon as she glared at me.
I was relieved when I saw Bia coming our way because this situation had gotten slightly awkward. I mouthed at her 'rescue me' and she laughed.
"You must be my new roommate," she said looking at the newbie.
"I guess, " she shrugged.
" I see you've already meet the guys, the annoying ass over here is Zeke," she said with a giggled since Zeke looked at her with a scowl.
" I'm Bia and that's Olen. Fred is in therapy but you'll meet him when he gets back. Come on let's get you into a shower so you can get rid of those clothes." She said showing her to their room.
