CHAPTER 14

SOBRANG BIGAT NG paghinga ko habang si Kenzo naman ay mukhang aliw na aliw sa nangyayari. I didn't let go of Anya upon knowing who the Kenzo guy she was referring to as her friend. I should protect Anya from him at all costs.

"May kasama ka pala? Was my timing not right?"

"He is Symon. Siya yung kinukwento ko sa'yo." Anya giggled and wrapped her arm on my waist. "He visited me and introduced himself to Papa," proud pa nitong pagkukwento and it somehow made me feel at ease. At least, si Anya na mismo ang nagsasabi sa tao na 'to na wala na siyang pag-asa sa kanya.

"Symon, siya si Kenzo, kaibigan ko at kaklase sa karamihan ng mga subjects ko."

Tiningala ako ni Anya para tingnan ang reaksyon ko pero pareho lamang kaming nagsusukatan ng tingin ni Kenzo. Hindi ko mapigilang mainis sa kanya lalo na sa nakakainis na ngisi na ibinibigay nito sa akin. Ano ba talaga ang plano niya? Bakit siya nasa STU at anong balak niya kay Anya?

"Nice meeting you, Symon. I heard a lot about you. Nililigawan ka pala ni Anya? Ang swerte mo naman."

"Yeah, it's good that we have finally met," I replied to him. "I heard so much about you also, so I'd want to introduce myself to you properly."

He put his right hand inside the right pocket of his pants and leaned his head on one side. "Eh? I didn't know you'd be interested in me that much," he said, flashing me the most annoying smirk he could give.

"Oh, no," I replied to him. "Don't be so full of yourself. I just wanted to introduce myself to you because I am so proud I belong to Anya and she belongs to me. So you better know where you stand, okay? Ayokong ginagabi siyang kasama ka. You are her friend, yes, but know your limits. Hindi ka pa pasado sa akin."

Nakita ko ang pag-igting ng panga ni Kenzo dahil sa aking sinabi. Whatever it is you are planning to do, I would never let you hurt Anya like you've done to me before.

"I KNOW YOU were pissed about how I treated your friend. I'm sorry," I apologized to Anya the moment we got outside their house after I say my goodbye to her parents.

Hindi na namin lahat namalayan ang oras at nang makitang mag-a-alas onse na ay nagpaalam na ako sa kanila na uuwi na. They offered that I stay in their house for tonight dahil gabi na raw at nakainom pa ako, but I assured them that I am fine. I want to be as formal as possible with them, and I don't want to abuse their kindness.

"I understand," she said and smiled at me. "Hindi naman masyadong masama 'yung sinabi mo sa kanya, eh. Medyo suplado, oo, pero wala, eh. Mahal kita."

I leaned on the hood of my car and gestured Anya to go near me. "Come here," I told her.

Wala itong pag-aatubiling lumapit sa akin kaya mabilis ko siyang naikulong sa aking braso. "Kailan mo gustong sagutin kita?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang hinahaplos-haplos ang buhok nito.

Mahina itong tumawa tsaka niyakap ako nang mahigpit at isiniksik ang sarili palapit sa akin kaya hinigpitan ko rin ang yakap sa kanya, pero siniguradong hindi siya masasakal o mahihirapang huminga.

"Gusto mo na ba?" Tanong niya pabalik sa akin. Maya-maya lamang ay tumingala ito at kitang-kita ko ang malaking ngiti sa mukha niya. "Kung wala pang Kenzo na dumating, hindi ka yata magkukumahog na sagutin ako, eh. Seloso."

Which is true. I was too confident that no one will get in our way until I discovered about Kenzo, and I know he plans to ruin everything about me and Anya.

"Well, if you are still up for the challenge, then I'm totally fine with that. I know you are mine already, so I'll let you have your fun doing everything you can to win me."
