Kavitra made it all the way to the safety of her car before her tears fell. Slumped in the driver's seat, she let them flow. All the pain, the sadness, frustration of hearing her mother cry for weeks now. Her father constantly yelling at her to bring that damn, useless boy home where he could "pound sense into him."

She knew it was hopeless. Korn was a good man, loyal and faithful. There was nothing wrong with being gay. It never changed how she felt about him. It was all their father's problems, Kavitra knew that.

She hardly heard the tapping on the window through her self pity. Finally, she sighed and reached for her purse and dug through it, looking for some tissues. It was then she heard the tapping.

With her swollen face, she glanced up and saw Phubet standing there, trying to peer in the tinted glass. He would tap 3 times, wait and then tap again. She giggled. He was cute, indeed. After he comforted her the last time, she had used her connections as an associate professor at the university to research him. She couldn't get involved with him, oh no, because next semester, she would be his professor!

Sighing, she rolled down the window as she wiped her nose. They spoke at the same time. "I'm fine."

"Are you okay?" Phu slumped, crossing his arms on the window and peered at her.

Whoa, he's too close, Kavitra thought. She shifted in her seat, trying to put some space between them.

"I'm worried about you. Do you need to talk to someone again?" Phu gently asked. "I know that I may not be ideal since I'm Korn's friend but I really can keep a secret."

Kavitra sighed. "Look, there isn't anything anyone can do right now. I cried because I'm stuck. My parents won't budge and Korn, well, he's right too. I can't blame him." She tucked her chin down and hid behind her hair. "I'm a lot like Korn, actually. I yell when I get angry. I fight a lot too."

Phu fell more in love with her. He felt flutters in his tummy. He reached out and lifted her chin. "What's wrong with that? When we yell with family, doesn't it just mean we care?"

Kavitra batted his hand away. "When you yell, you say things you don't mean." Why did her heart beat faster. He was so much younger than her. This wasn't good.

Phu made a quick decision. He strode around the front of her car and opened the passenger door and sat down before Kavitra could say anything. "Let's go for a drink, Kav, I think you need one." He put his seatbelt on and leaned back.

From half lidded eyes, he watched as Kavitra opened and closed her mouth, reminding him of a fish out of water. He worked hard at not laughing out loud, fuck, she was so damn hot, he wanted to kiss those lips.

Finally, Kavitra put the car in gear and drove to the nearest pub. Unfortunately, it was the one where Phu played gigs in every weekend. Phu stayed in the car and reached over her and held her door closed. "Can we go elsewhere? Please?"

Her breath hitched at the scent of his cologne right under her nose. Taking shallow breaths, feeling her heartbeat speed up again, "Why?"

"I work here. I don't want to be pestered when I go in. You don't know what it's like." Phu's face twisted. "Girls are a pain."

She glanced at him, "I would think you like the attention."

He snorted and sat back in his seat. "Why? Because girls think I'm handsome? Or I'm a bad boy because I have tattoos? I want a woman who understands me." He sighed. "Take my last girlfriend, for example. She chased me for 3 months. She knew I played in a bar. Yet every night, she watched my two sets and everytime a girl sent me a free drink, I was cheating on her."

He hit the dash. "I don't even drink those drinks. I'm not allowed to! She would follow me to class. I couldn't talk to any other girl or I was cheating. I never even kissed that girl because she was so childish. We broke up after three weeks."

Phu gave a crooked grin. "I envy Korn and Knock, you know. I have a bad boy reputation but I live like a damn monk. What's love? I think I've forgotten what it's like to be with someone..."

Kavitra knew what he meant. As a young professor, her life was just as boring. Relationship? Dating? What was that? It was over 5 years since she'd even had time to meet a new man... She put the car in gear and drove downtown.

Fai and Yihwa were worried about Korn. Was his family issues going to affect the plan? Yihwa shared a glance with Fai and then spoke, "Korn, will you be able to do this? Should we wait a bit longer?"

"No, let's go ahead. What's your timeline for springing this on the bitch?" Korn's face had resumed it's normal coloring finally, although he still hadn't let go of Knock's hand.

Fai took over. "One week from today. This is the hardest week for you two. This is the week that you need to flaunt your split in public."

Yihwa spoke, "Knock, act heartbroken. Korn, act angry. I mean, fist angry all the time."

Both men nodded. Korn had told Knock about the time Yihwa had gotten a freshman suspended for cheating, yet framing another student. She had managed to have the freshman admit, in front of the whole class, that he had done it, but not until he had raped the poor female student.

In other words, don't fuck with Yihwa. Or anyone Yihwa liked or loved. Plern had definitely taken on too much, messing with Korn and Knock. In Yihwa's eyes, they were her hope that love still could happen for her some day.

Fai turned to them and smiled. "I have most of the evidence prepared but we both believe that Plern has one more nasty surprise aimed right for one of you. We both think it's Knock's turn."

Knock sank back against Korn, shaking. "She scares me."

Korn patted his shoulder, wishing they were alone. "I know, baby, I know."

Fai continued, "She's too scared to take on girls directly, preferring to blackmail them into submission, and Yihwa and I are too smart for this to happen. That leaves Knock. We're going to have a camera on him at all times."

She held up the same micro camera that Prae used. "We believe that the same guys that attacked Farm will go after Knock. Two birds on one film. Then we hold a party at Phu's bar to "celebrate" your split, inviting Prae who will tell Plern. We know she will show up."

Yihwa laughed aloud. "And then we have a Facebook live event." She clapped her hands in delight. "It's going to be a hell of a party, my lovely boys!"
