Chapter 22

Yihwa pranced the next day like a queen. She loved it when everything had a satisfactory end. She glowed. To Fai, she was even more beautiful. Fai sighed. Why couldn't she swing that way? She'd have been all over Yihwa by now... well, regrets were not her style.

Fai snuck a quick glance at Phu who hadn't quit talking about Korn's sister and about the stellar evening they had after she had learned all about the evil bitch. Blah Blah Blah! Fai was over the whole Plern thing and wasn't into rehash of old news.

"Well, I'm gone." She announced to no one. "See ya."

Yihwa looked up and frowned. "Where are you going, Fai? You told me you had no plans today."

"I don't. I'll find something, anything. It's better than doing this." She got up and left. Anything was better than listening to Phu talk about his new love.

Yihwa sighed. "That girl is odd."

Phu shrugged. "I've never noticed. Fai isn't really a girl though. I've never seen her in a dress, or dancing. Actually, I've never seen her doing anything a typical girl does."

Korn and Knock finally made an appearance, holding hands. Yihwa smiled, and crowed. "So lover boys, how was your night? Did you do some things most of us singles can't?"

Knock sniffed. "We don't kiss, do and tell, Yihwa."

Korn only winked. Yihwa broke out laughing. "I don't need details, Knock darling. My imagination is probably better than reality."

"So who is all left to show up?" Phu asked. He settled back down in the comfiest chair and dug out his phone, looking for a non-existent text. He sighed and looked back up.

Yihwa looked around and said, "Farm and Prae are the only ones."

Phu looked surprised. "I thought they broke up, like ages ago."

"They did, but they're real good friends. I think both of them have announcements to make today." Yihwa was practically bouncing from excitement. "I wish Fai hadn't left."

"Why did Fai leave?" Korn asked, "Were you teasing her, Yihwa?"

"About what, Korn?" Yihwa asked.

"This. I took a picture because I was so startled." He showed his phone. There on the screen was a very pretty girl in a beautiful dress, styled hair and makeup. It vaguely resembled Fai. Yihwa grabbed his phone and stared.

"That's not Fai!" She screeched! All the men plugged their ears. "It can't be. I've lived with her for two years and she's never even had a dress in her closet." She sat down and sighed. "It is Fai, isn't it?"

The men nodded as one. Phu was the most stunned. "Fuck, she's beautiful."

Yihwa grabbed her phone and called. "Fai, what the fuck? Why are you dressed up?"

All the room heard Fai, "Two reasons: 1) I lost a bet, and 2) Since I have to dress this way, why waste it? I'm out to find myself a man. Talk to you later, Yihwa."

Korn and Knock burst out laughing at the stunned looks on Yihwa and Phubet's faces. "What? Did you really think she wasn't a girl?"

Farm hobbled in the room with his crutches, followed by Prae. Farm wore a stunned look, while Prae was openly laughing. "Have you seen Fai? She's stunning!"

Farm shook his head. "I'm telling you, Prae, that is not Fai. Fai doesn't wear dresses. Or makeup. Or high heels. That was not Fai."

Knock patted Farm's knee as he sat down. "I feel your pain. I felt the same way. But it is Fai. We talked to her. She wants a man."

Prae clapped her hands delighted. "Oh good for her! I was afraid that she'd be hung up on her crush forever!"

Yihwa scrunched her eyebrows together and peered at Prae. "Do you know who the crush is?"

Snorting, Prae giggled, "That was easy to figure out. I'm surprised YOU don't know. But I'll keep her secret."

Yihwa put her hands on her hips and glared. "Tell me, Prae."

"No and you can't threaten me, Yihwa or we won't tell you anything. Will we, Farm?" Prae giggled and Farm nodded. Farm knew how painful it was to be outed when you weren't ready.

Yihwa sighed, "Fine, what have you two to say?"

Farm took a deep breath. "I have kissed a man. I can confirm, thanks to Korn's advice, that I am definitely gay. Prae and I are now just good friends."

"Ohh, who was the man? Farm? Will you tell us?" Yihwa's eyes twinkled. She knew it was none of her business but still, watching Farm blush was just too much fun.

"None of your damn business." Farm pressed his lips together. He actually wanted to spill it. He wanted to tell them that he bumped into the hot doctor at the bar and kissed him in the bathroom but he remembered how Korn looked. He knew it would upset Korn so... "I'm not talking about who I kissed. I will say it was amazing for a first kiss." His face flamed. 

Prae glanced over and felt some sympathy for her ex. She glared at Yihwa before she could continue teasing.

Prae took a deep breath. "I met someone last night. I, as you know, have lousy judgement. I want you all to meet him. Will you please do that for me? I'm going to try and depend on the help of my friends from now on and not just on myself. Maybe that way I'll stay the course."

Yihwa squealed again and the men covered their ears. Korn sighed and muttered, "I wish she'd give a warning before she does that!" 

"Prae, I'm happy to help." She ran over and hugged her. She bent her head close to Prae's ear and whispered, "Is Fai's crush in this room and that's why you won't say? No names just that much is enough for me." Prae gave a slight nod. "I'm so happy!" Yihwa repeated louder.

All of a sudden, all the phones in the room began to beep, ring or buzz. It was an overwhelming mass of sound as everyone pulled them out and looked to see what happened. 

There, they were being bombed with picture after picture of Fai strolling leisurely through campus with tags of "Who is this beauty?", "What faculty?" and the best one was "Is this FAI???"

Yihwa held up her phone laughing! On her phone, one student had sent, "My future wife" with Fai's before and after picture with the tagline "The Perfect Woman/Safe to hang with/Knows when Dress!

Prae, curious, asked, "Why are you laughing so hard?" 

Yihwa, wiping tears from her eyes, "It's from a high school student who's here on a week work exchange program in engineering. Fai has been complaining about him following her around like a lost puppy."

They all started laughing at that. It was a good day to laugh.
