I walk around Stalwart headquarters the next day. I find a hallway where only I can be by myself. I don't know how I found this place but I did. I lean against the wall. I slide down it so I am sitting on the floor. I cover my eyes with my hands. I try to relax. I remember my mom, sister, and brother. I see my sister and brother crying in their rooms and my mom sitting in the living room staring at the wall. She has tears coming down her face.

My eyes start to burn. Tears start to come down my own face. I push the image away.I just remembered that tomorrow is Visiting Day. It would help if my mom didn't come so I don't get too attached to her.

I hear footsteps coming my way. "Lynne?" His voice is soothing. I look up. Dare is on the other side of the hallway. "Can you just leave me alone? I just...need to relax." I wipe my eyes. It is embarrassing when your instructor sees you crying.

He shakes his head. "Listen. I am sorry for what I did in training." He is looking at the floor. "Don't you know that sometimes just saying sorry doesn't work." I look at him. "I do know that. But i just don't know when the answer is just to say sorry. So whenever I do something wrong, I say sorry." He looks at me. I laugh a little. "Maybe you should start practicing that instead of practicing to fight younger people." I raise an eyebrow at him. He moves his hand on his neck. "Yeah. Uh... I just wanted to say sorry."

He nods at me. I get up. "Bye." I say while still wiping tears from my eyes. I turn and start walking down the hallway. Before I turn I look at him. He locks eyes with me. He starts to walk toward me. His eyes shift behind me. He takes out his gun.

I look behind me. There is a dude that is upstairs. He has his gun pointed at me. He looks so familiar. His eyes are the same color as mine. He looks like my dad. I squint to look at him. I freeze. "Dad?" My voice is croaky and scratchy.

The guy lowers his gun. I look at Dare. He has his gun pointed at the man. The man comes down the stairs. He walks slowly to me. "Suzan?" The man asks while tilting his head. I look back at Dare. I move my hand down to tell him to lower the gun. He does. "That was your old name?" Asks Dare. I nodd. I look at the man.

"It is Lynne now." My voice is tight. He smiles. He is my dad. I run toward him. He wraps his arms around me. I give him a bear hug. I am crying while smiling.
