I look back out the window after a couple minutes. They are marching to the house I am at. I get my gun ready. One of the guards knock on the door. I look out the window. I raise my gun at one of the guards heads. I pull the trigger. I hear glass break and a body falling. I hear more gun shots. I duck my head. Someone kicks the door open. I start to run up the stairs. I hear a gunshot and a sharp pain rushes through my shoulder. I groan.

I go into a room and shut the door. I lock it. Someone kicks at the door. I go to the other side of the room. I keep my gun up and pointed at the door. The door comes down. There are 3 guards. I shoot 2 of them in the head. I shoot the third on in the chest. He falls to the ground while groaning. I lean close to his face. "I want to know why you guys are here and what are you trying to do." I pull him up by his throat. "We are here to...stop....the....experiment." His eyes go to the back of his head and he stops moving. I drop him.

I open the window. I go on the edge of the window and grab the edge of the roof with my hands. I lift myself up onto the roof. Pain rushes through my shoulder. I wince. I walk on the roof and look around. I see guards walking around. I stay low and jump from roof to roof.

After a while the roofs end. I jump down. I know where I am going. I am going to the Ethical. I go through the woods. I keep my gun out just incase. The farther I go the quieter it gets. I start to see buildings. I walk out onto the street. Alot of people are walking around and laughing. Do they know what is going on? I am guessing not. I search through the crowds. I see a group of people in black. I follow them.

They ended up by a building. I see Dare keep the door open for everyone as they storm into the house. A woman comes out and hugs Dare. That must be his mom. I look around. I wait till he shuts the door. I put my gun away.

People are looking at me. As they look at me they mumble something to the person next to them. I decided not to stay out here any longer. I walk up to the door.

I knock on the door. A woman with brown hair a brown eyes opens the door. Her hair is in a ponytail. She wears a dress that goes to her knees. It's Dare's mom. "Oh, you poor child. Come in. Come in." She opens the door for me. I smile and nod at her. "Thank you." I say. She places her hand on my shoulder that got shoot at. I wince. She moves her hand. "Sorry." She briggs me into the living room. Everyone is there. I look around. No one seems hurt except for me. "Let me take care of that bullet wound." Dare's mom says. She pats her hand down on a seat. I sit down as she examines my wound. She takes out the bullet. As she does I clench my jaw. I look up. I see Pride running toward me. "Your ok?" I frown. "Does another bullet wound on top of another sound like ok?" I ask her as politely as possible. She shrugs. Dare's mom stitches the wound and places a bandage on it. "Thank you." I say when she's done. She smiles. "You're welcome." I get up.

I follow Pride through the crowd. Some people pat my back and give me some cheers. We finally go into a room that has a table and a bed. Trance, Dare, and Erin are in there. They all look at me. They give me looks of relief. "What happened back there?" Erin asks. "Right now that's not important. I figured out why they are attacking. They want to end the experiments. They are killing who ever was in this experiment. They are heading here next. At least I think they are heading here next." I say with having my hand in a fist. "So they think that ending the experiment means literally end the experiment?" Dare asks. I nod. "That is really messed up." Trance says. I nod. That is really messed up. Why would they do that in the first place? They are just trying to end their species.

I shake my head. Anger goes through me. “We need to get as many people as possible out of here. Not just to a different faction but out of this city.” I look at all of them. “I know this is rude to say this but are you crazy?!” Erin asks. I smile. “Crazy, no. Stalwart, yes. You are from Stalwart now, you need to take risks.” I look at Erin. He is frowning. Pride, Trance, and Dare are smiling. “A risk sounds good to me.” Pride says while patting me on the back.
