“Hun hurry up, it’s just like other dates.” Mat whined getting tired of waiting for me for the last 2 hours. I wanted to look best today. It was our one year ani. I was so excited to know we dated for so long.
“Two minutes!” I shouted back. I could hear him sigh outside and could imagine him pouting.
Mat was a charmer and quite the sweetheart. When we first met he tried some lame lines on me which didn’t work so he just asked me on a date. And from that date to the rest we have learned to love each other. I was no beauty queen but Mat admired me like I was an angel. And for Mat, he was nothing then an amazingly hot boyfriend. How he happened to like me? No idea.
Once done with the last touch up and my over thinking mind, I ran downstairs but at a slow pace since I might end up falling and ruin the “simple date” he has been implying all morning.
When I got to the last step I saw him talking to my parents. Foster parents actually. It has been a year since they left me because of an accident. The thought of them made me want to cry. Ever since they left Mat took care of me. So did my foster parents. They were ever so sweet to me. My mom pointed her hands towards me “there she is. You look amazing darling.” I beamed with happiness.
Mat slowly turned his head towards me. His mouth slightly parted and it looked like he was rooted to the ground. He was staring at me with so much affection. I was wearing a black dress that came till my thighs. It was sleeves and paired it with black heels that had small roses at the back and to make it look a bit fancy I wore a pearl necklace. It took me hours to get my hair into a beautiful messy bun which had the perfection. I put a subtle color lipstick and put a little black eye shadow. In all when I looked at myself on the mirror I loved the way I looked.
Mat was pulled out of his awe stare by my little brother who has pulling his pants. Mat was tall and that made my little cute brother look like an elf. I laughed at the scenario. He was adorable. Nathan had golden curls, inherited it from his mother.
Mat looked at him and gave Nathan his chocolate. Mat looked at me and with three long strides he was in front of me. “I think the wait was worth it.” He whispered to me with his husky voice.
I blushed and looked down. He cleared his throat “Shall we?” He asked to me but looked at my parents. They nodded and I just took his hand in mine. The warmth making my cold hand comfortable.
We walked out to his car. He opened the door for me and I got in oh so gracefully.
“You look beautiful.” He complimented me once seated on his side ready to take us to some fancy restaurant.
I blushed again and looked at him. Handsome as ever.
“You look ok.” I joked looking at my nails to give effect to my words.
“You wont be saying that once I take the shirt off me would you?” he smirked
I chuckled and blushed more. God I need to stop blushing.
“Sure thing” we both laughed to it.
