Chapter 16

ARIADNE'S POV

BTW this was posted like in October of 2020 so yeah....

I changed the entire thing :)

I grumbled and nestled deeper into Apollo's arms.

He gently placed butterfly kisses all over my face. I whined, and opened my eyes.

He was looking down at me. "Wake up, Ari." he said. 

"Me say no." I said childishly and turned around. He chuckled and lifted me off the bed. 

"Apollooooo put me downnnnn!!" I whined.

"Nah, I don't want to." he said and made me stand in the bathroom. He held onto my waist as I brushed my teeth.

"You can go now you know." I said. "Okay, come out soon, you need to actually eat before going out with your friends." he said. I nodded.

Once I had finished showering I slipped on one of Apollo's hoodies and leggings and put my hair in a ponytail.

I applied a little lip gloss and put on hoop earrings. I made sure the necklace Apollo gave me for my birthday stood out.

It was simple honestly, just a single delicate gold chain with a heart and a infinity sign in the center. His name was carefully carved into the side of the hollow heart and mine in the infinty symbol.

I absolutely adored it.

I skipped downstairs, to a plate full of pancakes.

The Tower Of Nero releases today. 

Me, Tyler, Alexa, Aiden, Sheela, Sophia and Adrien and Marissa were in my car driving to go and raid- I mean, shop at- the local book store.

 The car speakers are blaring Bring on the monsters, Percy Jackson the musical. 

I've been able to keep this from the demigods and gods. 

After that day in school, nothing new happened, and called me paranoid but it made me feel like something big was gonna happen. 

"Sooo you and Apollo?" asked Marissa.

"Yeah what about us?" I asked.

"When am I going to become an aunt." she asked bluntly.

I chocked on my spit.

"I sorry?!?!" I asked.

"I said. When am I going to become an aunt?" she asked, expazrated.

"Uh, wait a few years." I said.

She grumbled annoyed.

"But how are you and Dalton going?" asked her wiggiling my eyebrows.

She rolled her eyes.

"Madly and hopelessly in love." said Alexa. Marissa glared at her.

"Shut up." she grumbled. I giggled.

I pulled up at the store and parked at the curb and climbed out. 

Once we had all gotten out we went inside the store. 

To my surprise they had a bunch of copies at the front of the store. 

Signed Copies.

I rushed to the table and grabbed 8 copies.

 I put them in my basket cart thing and went to the checkout counter. The others were getting some other books. 

Once I had rounded everyone up like a goddamned mother, we drove back home.

I dropped them all off at their houses.

 We agreed to video call and read the books together. 

I walked into the lobby and went up to Olympus. 

I raced towards Apollo's house, right after I dropped Marissa off of course.

 I ran in and locked the door behind me. I made sure that the book was in my bag, under my jacket and phone and car keys and wallet.  

I dashed to the bathroom and removed my clothes. I walked into the shower. The warm water soothed my muscles and felt amazing on my skin. I dried myself and pulled a baby pink shirt and black leggings on. I blow dried my hair and loosely braided it. I grabbed the book and raced downstairs.

 Apollo was strumming away on his ukulele. (See what I did?) I stifled laughter. I quietly walked to the reading room. I gently closed the door behind me. I settled on the couch and hooked my phone to the huge T.V. 

I joined the Face Time call with everyone else.

Marissa rolled her eyes. "Freaking finally. What were you doing?" she asked.

"Showered." I said. She grumbled as she was dissapointed. I rolled my eyes. 

 I heard the door close outside. Apollo had left. "Okay, everyone has their books?" asked Sophia. We nodded vigorously. 

"Begin!" she said. 

I opened the book and started reading.
