"Dr. Quinn, please come to Sector 5. There has been a security breach. Patient 63859 is loose," A voice said over the PA system. Harley stood up and stepped out of her office, quickly walking down the halls. She got to Sector 5, which was the cafeteria and saw one of the enhanced individuals holding back three guards.
Harley put her walkie-talkie on the table and stepped closer. "Wanda, let them go,"
"They were trying to hurt me," Wanda answered. Her hand was held out toward the guards, keeping them in their place.
"Okay. Why don't you eat your food with me in my office?" Harley took another step, keeping eye contact with Wanda. "Where's your brother?" Wanda didn't answer. "Wanda, I need an answer, sweetie."
"They took him! They were trying to take me, too," Wanda said.
"I get that, but you need to let them go. You don't want to get in trouble, do you?"
Wanda hesitantly shook her head. Her hand lowered and the guards dropped to the floor. She stepped to Harley and got behind her.
"You can wait in my office, Wanda," Harley said. Wanda walked out of the cafeteria, along with some of the other patients going to the training room. "Everyone clear out." The other patients got up and left. The three guards stood to leave as well. "Not you three. We need to talk,"
The guards took a seat at one of the tables and Harley stood in front of them. "What is this about?" One of the guards asked.
"Tell me what happened."
"We came to get her for testing, she lashed out.
"Is that all that happened?" Harley questioned. She sat at the table in front of them.
"Meaning?"
"Well, I mean, you had to have done something to provoke her, right?"
"Are you saying we did something?"
"No, I'm asking. But considering the fact that you just got so defensive all of a sudden, I would have to assume that you did. Did you?"
"We didn't do anything to her."
They're lying. A voice in her head said. "Are you sure? Because I know that Wanda and her brother don't have any problems with any of the other guards."
"Listen, sweetheart, we didn't--"
"Don't call me sweetheart." Harley removed her glasses. "What were your intentions with Wanda?"
