Walking out of the room, Kara dialed a number on her phone. It rang three times before the person picked up the phone.
"Hello?" the person answered.
"Hey, Diana, it's Kara. Do-- do you have a minute?" Kara asked, fighting back tears.
"Is everything okay? You sound sad," Diana said.
"Fury's dead."
"What? How?"
"He was shot. We're still looking for the one that did it."
"Do you need me to do anything?"
"No, I just-- I just needed someone to talk to. You can go back to unpacking. I'll call you later," Kara said before hanging up the phone. Going back inside, Kara saw Natasha staring at Fury's body and Steve leaning on a wall. One single tear threatened to fall down Natasha's face. Looking down at the floor, Kara walked into the room.
She stood next to Steve against the wall. A minute later, Maria came in. "I need to take him," Maria said.
Kara looked at Maria and back to Fury's body. Steve and Kara stepped closer to Natasha.
"Natasha," Steve said. Natasha put her hand on Fury's head and walked out. The two walked out after her. "Natasha!" Steve said, in a firmer voice.
Natasha whipped her head around to face them. "Why was Fury in your apartment?"
Steve sighed. "We don't know," Steve said.
"Is everything alright over here?" Harley asked, walking up to them.
"Everything's fine, Harls," Natasha sighed.
"Cap, they want you back at S.H.I.E.L.D.," Rumlow said, walking up to them.
He looked at Harley with a smirk.
Harley's eyes widened and she took a step back, throat dry.
"Yeah, give me a second," Steve replied.
"They want you now," Rumlow insisted. Rumlow looked back to Harley, making her uneasy. She felt her heart starting to race and she started laughing.
Natasha turned around, seeing Harley standing with her hands over her mouth. Natasha grabbed Harleys arm and walked her away from the group. "Harley, calm down," she said.
