Redemption: Chapter 2

Branch didn't know where to start. He had no knowledge of the wormholes.

"Okay so, there's one problem. We don't know any knowledge about the wormhole" Branch said, worrying.

"I guess that's one major problem for us" His dad sighed as he rubbed his eyes with his fingers.

"Well.. Not exactly" Nathan spoke up as he fixed his backpack's position.

"What?" the three trolls asked in unison and looked at Nathan.

"I may or may not been researching about it secretly for a couple years. So I may have a lead for it" Nathan nervously chuckled a bit, rubbing his neck.

"Really? That's great!" Branch yelled excitedly. Knowing they're already a step closer to save Poppy. "What do you got?"

"Well, you may have already notice. It appears at random places, and random times" Nathan started motioning his hands left and right. "They usually appear when someone is having a death situation. In another way, when someone is feeling a huge amount fear. According to what I have found atleast" he said professionally.

"So basically.. I need to have a deadly situation while having high level of fear? But how about from that predator when I ran away in rage before and you saved me? Wasn't it a deadly situation?" Branch asked.

"Well.. Yes." Nathan started tapping his cheek. Until he realized why. "But you might have seemed that you were accepting it and you didn't have the high level of fear"

"But then, why is it targetting those trolls who's experiencing deadly situation while having huge level of fear? It doesn't seem to make sense" their mother asked.

The other two male looked at her and nodded, then looked at Nathan.

"I haven't completed my research yet. So sorry, I have no idea" Nathan frowned a bit.

"Well it's the only chance we got!" Branch yelled, fisting his other hand. But then he thought of something. "But wait hold on, how did you find out all these? It's been couple years since you guys met other trolls"

"I have my ways" Nathan crossed his arms and raised his eyebrow, smiling at Branch.

"Okay? I guess I have nothing to complain" Branch shrugged.

"We also have another problem. How are we suppose to find a way of a death situation or fear?" Jack asked.

"Easy, we take advantage on our fear" Branch nervously chuckled when he mentioned fear.

"Well, what do you fear?" Nathan asked him.

"Fear of losing Poppy" Branch immediately answered and looked at Nathan. "But I guess I already did.." he frowned and looked down.

"Anything else?" Rose asked, trying to ignore the topic of Poppy and skip to the next one.

"Uhmm.." Branch was anxious to say it at first. Until he finally let it out. "I guess birds?"

Nathan laughed. "Seriously? Birds?" he joked.

"Hey, it's not my fault! They're savage and evil!" Branch growled.

The two parents started snickering a bit.

The four of them haven't change a bit. Branch still sounded and acted childish while Nathan kept mocking him about it. The parents and the older brother of Branch remember it like it wasn't a long ago.

"How about you?" Branch looked at Nathan, still having a hint of anger from his reply mockery.

"Leaving or losing everyone I care about," Nathan frowned, remembering the day he and his parents left him without any goodbyes. "Unable to protect them." he continued. "But other than that, spiders"
