Three Days After The Incident
Poppy was right outside Branch's hospital room, with a doctor she's having conversation on. She asked for Branch's condition to the doctor. She's always checking up on him once every hour ever since.
"I regret to inform you, he haven't gain conscious yet." the doctor informed Poppy. Poppy frowned at the information, her ears dropped a bit.
"But, I can tell you his condition is getting better hour by hour." he continued as he adjusted his clipping board on his hand. Poppy's expression turned up with a smile on her face.
"Just thirty minutes ago, while I was checking him up, he was weakly saying your name."
"That's great! Thank you for the information, doc!" Poppy happily pulled the doctor a hug.
"Heh, no problem, queen Poppy." the doctor said, adjusting his eyeglasses. "Do you want to enter mr. Branch's room?" he asked Poppy as she let go off of him.
"I can get to see him?!" Poppy asked excitedly at the doctor. She already misses his face.
The doctor gave her a small nod and smile in reply. Poppy, almost immediately, rushed towards the door and opened it rushly.
"H-Hey careful! You might startle the other patients in the building!" the doctor exclaimed.
"Hehe, sorry." Poppy turned her head then apologized and rubbed her neck.
"Anyway, don't take too long. I'll let you know when you should leave." the doctor informed Poppy and closed the door gently then went down to the hallway.
Poppy turned her head back to her front, seeing Branch laying down on the bed. She smiled, walking closer to him and sat down the chair next to his bed. She crept her chair closer to him, then stared at his face with a facemask.
"Hey, Branch." Poppy greeted. "I hope you'll wake up soon. I miss you so much already." she laid her hand on Branch's, gripping her hand on his gently.
"One day, it'll be like the good old days. But with your family. You being paranoid about the dangers of the forest, ruining people's fun for the sake of their safety and protection." Poppy giggled at the thought of the moments where Branch scolded the trolls at everything they do he thinks dangerous.
"Oh, and Creek? Everyone told me about the lie he spout out to them." Poppy clentched her hands tight and gritted her teeth. "I sent him to the fun dungeon for a month and let Biggie and Smidge do guard duty." she calmed down, her grip weakened.
"Me, your family, and every troll is waiting for you to wake up. We all miss you already." Poppy frowned as she stared at Branch's closed eyes, and the face mask that helps him breath.
"Get well soon, okay?" Poppy leaned closer and gave Branch a kiss on the forehead. She leaned back to her seat and smiled.
Poppy was about to let go off of his hand. She suddenly stopped when she felt Branch's hand weakly gripped her hand, a sign that he didn't want her let to go.
"Please.. don't go..." Branch weakly whispered through his breath, his eyebrows furrowed as his head moved a little to the side.
Poppy silently gasped. "Branch?" she called, leaning closer to him a little.
She didn't get a reply. But she understood what he just said. She smiled, and kept her hand on Branch's hand. "I won't let go." she whispered softly, making Branch calm down.
One hour later
Poppy was taking a nap, still holding Branch's hand. She just didn't want to let go, until the door opened, getting Poppy back to reality and woke up. "Huh? What?" she turned her head towards the doctor.
