Chapter 19: Leaving

The pure wood double doors opened to reveal the king and the King's husband. The political leaders and other important politicians and ministers all stood up and bowed a full 90 degrees to show their respect towards the royals.

Jimin and Yoongi both went to sit on the two throne-like chairs. They were set up in an angle which gave them the view of the whole room. They sat down on the two chairs and then Jimin signaled the Council members to sit too. As they all sat down, Jimin started giving his speech.

After a long boring speech -Informative for the council members but boring for the non-council members- Jimin addressed the actual reason why this council was called. Just then the former King along with Jungkook -who was sent as a messenger to the former king to join the council- came in. All of them stood up to greet him except of course Jimin and Yoongi.

The king came inside and sat on his own chair that was reserved for him. As everybody settled down, Jimin continued his speech.

"Today, me and my father are going to tell you all about the decision that we had came to." Jimin paused over here as the elders of the council started whispering to each other.

"As you all know that we have married Prince Hoseok of the North Korean Kingdom to keep peace between us. As we want to indulge him in our politics, we are starting from the very beginner level so that he can learn how one part of our kingdom works." Jimin paused again as he tried to understand what the low whispers of the council members were saying and so far he has heard that majority of them were agreeing with their decision.

"So, we have decided that we will give our Education department from King Yoongi to Prince Hoseok." Jimin said and he had to stop saying further as the room was filled with many sounds. People were agreeing and disagreeing.

"Please, I will give time to all of you to express your opinion but first we have more to talk about." Jimin said this and the council members shut themselves up, curious as to what was more to it.

"Me and King Yoongi have decided that King Yoongi will get 6 months of vacation from all of the politics. He won't be appearing on any interviews or any other future political assembly. But, he will sit beside me in every assembly as your king and a fellow ruler of the kingdom. After these six months, Yoongi will be the royal advisor. Details about his royal advisory position will be discussed after 6 months after the official coronation of Prince Hoseok as King Hoseok." 

Jimin finished his speech and then signaled by his hand to the minister of health to speak up.

"My king, why are you giving King Yoongi 6 months vacation?"

"That is because he will teach Prince Hoseok everything about the Education department."

"Your highness, you said that the coronation will be after 6 months so is your wedding soon?"

"I have not said that the coronation will be after six months. The coronation will be right after our wedding and as far as our wedding is concerned then the official date will be announced soon." Hearing this the Council members cheered and this brought a smile towards both the kings.

"Your highness, if you don't mind me asking then can you please tell me why are you making King Yoongi the royal advisor? He could be anyone on the major departments. You have the whole authority to dismiss anyone and put King Yoongi on his spot. In my opinion, this is very unfair towards King Yoongi as he was already taken off from his departments and now he is not a minister anymore and just an ordinary advisor I re-"

The Minister of finance was stopped by the former king raising his hand.

"First of all, this is a decision already decided by your kings so you should not have an opinion about their decision unless if it somehow harms the kingdom and as far as I know, this decision does not harm the kingdom. Second of all, King Yoongi has already worked on many departments before his marriage and after his marriage with the King. So we should give others some opportunity too. I can't remove Jimin because he is the King but I can do that to any of you ministers and Yoongi here. Plus, if you young lady are too keen on him having a good spot, how about you resign and we will gladly give your position to him." The king finished his speech with this.

The minister of finance was obviously at loss of words. She did not want to leave her well paying job and she also did not want to seem selfish or disrespectful in front of the Council members and the Kings. Luckily, Yoongi had been taught body language of people when he was 13 years old and he sighed.

He stood up and walked towards the table. Everyone's attention was at him now. He took out his badge that said that he was the Minister of Education and put the metal object on the table gently. He then unpinned his sash which made him a member of the council and a political member -this sash was worn by other ministers and important people to tell the foreigners that they are of higher position- and gently laid the fabric on the table. Jungkook came forward and handed Yoongi the seal of the minister of education. Yoongi then put the seal on the sash. He took a step backwards and then turned around. He bowed in front of Jimin and then turned again bowing in front of the former king.

"It was a very great experience working with you all. I hope I will live to see the day where I will be apart of the political decisions again. I hope you all have good 6 months filled with peace, tranquility in your lives and rectitude." He then bowed in front of the council members and made his way towards the double doors. The guards opened the door and Yoongi exited the hall.

All of the eyes watched him leave with saddened eyes. The former king snorted when the doors closed.

"What a dramatic leave." The king said. Everyone heard about his remark and internally cursed at him as King Yoongi's leave saddened all of them as he was very talented in all of the fields. They were very shocked to hear that King Jimin also had a hand in this decision but they knew that the former king who was famous for his cruelty had a hand in his agreement with this decision.

They all wished that the former king would die already.

Thanks to the readers who wished me best of luck for my exams. They were really very easy but the tension and the stress was literally too much like it was the first time in my life that I would wake up the whole night and go to sleep when my mother force me to.

Now I know why university students and college students are always complaining about not being in the right mind during their mids or semester finals loll.
