CHAPTER SIX:
FIVE SECONDS.

"I THINK PRINCIPAL ROSÉ is gay," Hoseok randomly announced as he munched on a bag of chips he found on the ground.

Everyone looked at him weirdly as they made their way into school thirty minutes early. He was prone to blurting things out randomly at the weirdest of times.

"I think those chips are messing with your head," Jimin said, eyeing the bag of chips in disgust.

There was reason to. Hoseok found the chips open, half empty and on the grass in the school's front yard. Immediately he saw it, his eyes lit up, he yelled 'free chips,' and began plowing it in his mouth, all in the fraction of three seconds. Then he looked at them weird when they looked at him funny and Jungkook looked like he was going to gag.

Hoseok rolled his eyes. "I'm serious, dude bro. I have a lot of evidence to back it up. Some authentic shit,"

"Yoongi hyung, I think Hoseok hyung's high!" Jungkook pointed at the older man as he ratted him out.

Hoseok gasped dramatically. "Jungkook, how dare you?! I would never do drugs," he said, lips curling into a smirk as he continued. "Not before school, dude,"

Yoongi sighed and finally had the guts to face palm. "I hate my life,"

As the commotion ensued between his friends (BamBam, Yugyeom, Mark, Jinyoung, Youngjae, Jaebum, Sehun, Yeonjun, Baekyun, Hyunjin, Seungmin and Vernon included), Namjoon allowed his eyes to roam in search of Seokjin. It was Monday and although they'd come a bit early, just to get the good seats, he'd sort of expected Seokjin to already have arrived. But that wasn't the case so he just sighed and dejectedly walked to homeroom with his friends while Yoongi, Hoseok, Jinyoung, Youngjae and Vernon went to their home room.

Everyone went dispersed with simple 'see you later's' or 'see you at lunch'.

Not a lot of students had arrived.

Mostly Lalisa, Soyeon, Sunmi, Momo, Mina, Jisoo, Jennie, Daniel, Felix, Han and Junho. They all greeted each other and lounged around, waiting for the first bell to ring before they all headed to class. Korean Arts was first and Namjoon and his friends occupied the back and middle row, waiting for their teacher to arrive.

Namjoon couldn't help but let his thoughts fly. He wondered if Seokjin was finding his way around okay. He knew he needn't sorry as principal Rosé always assigned a guide to the new kids to help them find their classes, lockers and understand their schedules. Seokjin was most likely settled in class beside Yoongi, Hoseok, Jinyoung and the other seniors. But it didn't stop Namjoon from worrying.

Seokjin was a small, soft ball of fluff who needed protection at all times. He hoped his dumbass classmates weren't giving him shit for his cross dressing because Namjoon was a nice kid but he wasn't afraid to bruise his hands if he saw someone he cared about getting hurt.

He just sighed and tried to pay attention to Mr. Cha as he droned on an on about historical artifacts in Korean art and their routes. He couldn't wait for lunch where he could finally see Seokjin and calm his heart down knowing the boy was safe.

The first four periods were a drawl. He had only two classes with all his friends and the rest of the two with Jungkook and BamBam respectively. (Jungkook wasn't even supposed to be in Namjoon's grade but he was smart so he got pulled a year up).

Finally, lunch time arrived and Namjoon heaved a sigh, him and BamBam being the first ones out of the door. They walked together, through the hallway chatter and towards the cafeteria where they knew all their friends were waiting at their large table. Namjoon greeted some of his friends like Sunmi and Lisa on the way, bumping into Soyeon and Momo as well. He and Daniel fist bumped at the door of the cafeteria. It was an excruciatingly long walk and he always seemed to be stopped by his large amount of friends. But finally, he made it to the lunch room, heaving a sigh of relief with BamBam by his side.
