Chapter 8

(Aria POV)

I jolted awake with a paper stuck to the side of my face. I pulled it off and realized I had fell asleep doing homework. I yawned and pulled myself up. I trudged over to my bedside table and checked the time. I gasped and realized I'm late for first period.

Quickly, I brushed out my hair and got dressed. While running out the door i pulled my shoes on tripping as I went. I burst into the class and realized everyone was watching me. Dracos eyes met mine and he smirked at me. My cheeks turned red as I took my seat. Draco leaned over and whispered in my ear, "Little late now are we?"

"Talking to me? That's new."

"I guess you could say I missed your smart mouth."

I raised my eyebrow at that. "You missed me?"

Draco groaned. "Don't ruin this Lynn."

Yep. There's the same old Draco.

The professor then asked everyone to pull out their textbooks and read the pages on the board. I reached down for my bag but then I realized it was gone. My face flushed and i began to panic. Draco noticed my scared expression. "God you look more pale than usual. What's wrong?"

"I-i forgot my bag. I guess i was in such a rush i left it   in my dorm."

Draco playfully rolled his eyes and gave me an expression like i was killing him. He scooted his chair closer to mine and latex his book in between us. My breath caught in my throat. He was so close i could smell the apples and driftwood radiating off of him. I breathed in a. big breath so i could smell his scent.

He gave me an amused expression before flicking my forehead and saying, "Are you smelling me? Bloody Hell Lynn."

My face immediately went red as I turned my face away. He laughed at me before beginning to read from the text book again.

After class, as i'm walking out of the classroom Draco walks over to me and asks, "When's your next class period start?"

I stopped walking and gave him an exasperated look. "We have second period together."

"We do? I never see you."

Well maybe it's because you're too busy sniffing my sister, I think to myself.

"So...you're coming with me."

"When did i agree to this?" I laugh.

"I made your mind up for you. Anyways, you're coming with me to help me find Mak a birthday gift."

Oh, I thought to myself. I'm so stupid I thought he wanted to hangout with me. I mean... i can still spend time with him anyways. I nod.

Draco and I walk to Hogsmeade discussing Maks favorite things. "She loves big jewelry," I say.

"Mak likes sweets from the candy shop."

And the conversation went on and on.

We finally made it to Hogsmeade. We went into a bunch of different shops. When we walked into the jewelry store, I saw a necklace and ring set. The necklace had a small sun hanging off of it. The ring had a moon on it. Draco watched me as I examined it. The set was beautiful, not something Mak would want because the necklace was too simple. But, it was something I wanted. I checked my pockets for my wallet but i realized i left it at my dorm. I sighed and put the necklace back longingly.

Draco watched me curiously before pursing his lips and turning away. I walked over to him and we began trying to find Mak a gift. We ended up getting her a pair of earrings and a matching bracelet.
