I woke up on top of Draco. His arms were tightly around my waist. I closed my eyes and wished we could stay in this moment forever. Right now I don't have to care about Mak or who I smelt in the dumb potion. But I did.
I sighed before carefully getting off of him and removing myself from his arms. He groaned before turning over and holding onto his pillow. I smiled lightly as I began walking away. As i walked away I could feel a pull from his room telling me to go back inside. I paused thinking about just skipping classes and hanging out with Draco today, but I shook my head and walked on.
Once I made it to my dorm, I saw Cedric leaning against my dorm. "Hey Aria!"
"Hey Ced," I smiled warmly at him.
"I haven't seen you in forever so I wanted to make sure you were alright... and I missed you."
"I'm doing well, and I've missed you to Ced!"
His smile was so warm and inviting that I didn't protest when he pulled me into a hug. His smell engulfed me as he began walking me to my classes. What is it that his smell reminds me of?
"-are you listening Aria?"
"Hmm. Sorry what?"
He chuckled before reaching out and grabbing my hand. "I was wondering if you'd go to the ball with me."
"I uhm- Sorry Ced but-"
"No she most certainly will not go to the ball with you," Draco said while putting his arm protectively around me.
I looked up at him in surprise, but his cold eyes were focused on the boy standing before us. "I think Aria can answer for herself."
Draco scoffed, "Like she'd have said yes in the first place. I merely beat her to it."
"As much as you think you do, you don't know everything."
"No shit but I sure as hell can tell when someone's out of your league."
I shuffled my feet nervously before looking up at Cedric. He was staring at me with hope in his eyes. I felt a feeling of guilt seep into my veins. I didn't want to hurt him so I remained silent.
"As if she's not out of your league as well Malfoy."
"Hmm well let's see if Aria agrees shall we?"
Draco's gaze finally turned to me. I opened and closed my mouth. He read the look on my face and decided to prove to Cedric how much I really was all his. Draco's hand snaked around the back of my neck before he pressed his lips into mine. My knees began to shake like they always did when he kissed me. Draco seemed to always have this effect on me.
When he pulled away, Cedrics eyes were on me. He didn't look mad, he looked mostly disappointed. As Draco began to pull me away, I turned around to apologize when a warm breeze drew his smell over to me. Freshly baked bread and vanilla filled my nose. My jaw dropped.
