third person

Tommy survived, and had thought of a way to get L'Manburg its independence, even if he lost his prized possessions. Wilbur said he didn't have too, that they could find another way, knowing how Tommy felt about the discs. But the boy didn't want to do this another way, he knew this was the only way Dream would let them be free.

He'd trade one disc for independence, and he'd trade it today. Only two days after the duel. He stood in front of the man in green, a new mask adorned on his face.

"Dream, one more deal, and this war ends for real." Tommy says, it was only him and Dream standing in a clearing in the woods.

No one knew Tommy was still alive, other than the ones who saved him, but Dream would tell everyone else.

"What is your deal?" Dream asks curiously, folding his arms on his chest. Tommy shifted from one foot to the other, reaching into his bag, and pulling out two disks.

"This, for L'Manburg's independence," he says, Dream reaches his hand out, and Tommy lays the music disc into his palm, his face contorted into one of loss. The clinking of the record, the last time he'd ever hear it.

"Deal. But I will not recognize L'Manburg as a new nation, it is my land in the end, but you will have your independence." Dream states calmly, holding his hand out for Tommy to shake, he does. Just like that, the war ends.

Two days later

Vienna

I've gotten most of my things that were salvageable from my house, and had temporarily moved in with Sapnap, his recommendation, not mine.

I had saved a few clothes that only needed some sewing, a few books including the one Dream had said was rare, and my sword. I'd have to make new armor, but that wasn't much of a problem. I had the materials and time to do it.

Earlier today, I went to Tubbo. I wanted to see how he was holding up, and imagine my surprise when I saw him smiling, only four days after his best friend's death. It was a pure, happy smile that wasn't tainted by anything. No pain, no grief, no nothing. Just happy.

I come to find that no, Tommy wasn't dead. He was very much alive, as told by Tubbo. I was once again shocked when the boy embraced me like we never went to war against each other, like we were just in the same dream for mouths.

But I was happy, he was happy, we were happy together.

And for now, we'd be okay with that.

I was terrified of what would happen. I was in pain, still am, but right now all I can feel is good, pure love.

And I'm okay with that.
