~Hey guys, it's been too long. I've been caught up with school and a lot of other things so I haven't really found any time nor motivation to write, but I've been reading a lot, so I've been a bit more motivated recently. The next chapter I have planned I really don't feel like writing and I've had a special chapter planned for a while, and the idea is kinda spooky so I thought, why not have it be for Halloween? I don't plan on making this chapter too long and just to let you guys know, this isn't canon since it is a holiday special! In this chapter Link and Zelda know that Henry is Y/n and they call her Y/n again. Again, this isn't canon, just a holiday special! Anyway, here's the chapter!~
It was another day of exploring Hyrule with Zelda and Link, despite the King's plea against it. Zelda simply wanted to see the world and you and Link knew there was nothing that could stop her, so you went along. You guys were currently at the outpost near the forest of time and the plateau. Zelda was hoping on doing some research on local flowers but it had gotten a little cold out so you had persisted on taking a short break at the outpost.
You three were inside the tavern at the outpost and were sitting at a table near the fireplace. Zelda had a few people staring at her since she was wearing royal clothing but you and Link glared at them until they looked away. This happened everywhere you went considering she was the princess and Link was the chosen knight. You didn't get many glances since you were just some random knight with them, no one special.
You were reading a book that you had found on a table near the fireplace and Link was sipping his hot chocolate. Zelda was talking with the tavern owner about the area and if there were issues since she was very interested in getting more involved with the people of her kingdom.
The book you were reading was about legends of Hyrule, things like items spread around Hyrule supposedly connected to the gods along with armor with special abilities. One that stood out the most to you was something called "Majora's Mask" and it was supposedly buried somewhere near you. You looked further into the page about Majora's mask and found out it was buried at the Kolomo Garrison next to Lake Kolomo.
"Hey Link, check this out." You spoke, pointing to the part on the page talking about Majora's mask.
"You don't really think that's real do you?" He raised his eyebrows and looked up at you.
You furrowed your eyebrows and spoke again, "Well why wouldn't it be, all of the stuff in this book seems somewhat reasonable. Well maybe excluding the stuff about a guy named Tingle, he seems a little off..."
"Y/n it's a book about legends and folk tales, I don't think a lot of the stuff in it is real." Link sighed, taking another sip of his hot chocolate.
"I don't care if you don't believe in it, I'll ask Zelda what she thinks when she gets back." You scoffed.
You continued reading your book and Link just rolled his eyes. Zelda had come back to the table where you two were and huffed.
"Man, the tavern owner said there were no problems in this area but he just kept talking about his love for cows." She frowned. "Sure I like cows too but I just wanted to know about community issues."
Link chuckled but you hadn't noticed Zelda sitting down since you were focused on the page about Majora's mask still. Zelda had noticed your fascination and read the page over your shoulder.
"Ooh! I've read about this! We have a book about it at the castle. Majora's Mask is an incredibly evil mask that was said to control whoever put it on." Zelda exclaimed.
You glanced up and her and then to Link with a smirk on your face. "Told you. Zelda's never wrong about this type of thing."
"Okay fine, if she says she knows about it then I'll trust you." Link rolled his eyes.
