The next day, I go through another one of my fears. This time I'm in a glass tank. I see Christina whisper something to Peter. They both laugh. Then Four comes over to me and taps on the glass. When he gets my attention, he points down. Water is appearing out of no where. It rises and I'm trying to break the glass by smashing or kicking it down. No use. Eventually the water engulfs the entire tank. I take one last breath and go under. I blow all the bubbles out so the water can kill me faster. Before I do anything though, I bring my hand up to the glass. I tap it with my index finger and something happens. It cracks, and breaks.

I wake up from the simulation and Four is staring at me with an angry expression. "What?" I ask.
"How did you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Crack the glass."
"I don't know." Four finally offers me his hand. I swing my legs over the side of the chair, and when I stand, I feel steady. Calm.
... He leads me out of the room ... I pull my arms back. He stares at me in silence. He won't give me information without prompting.
"What?" I demand.
"You're Divergent," he replies.
I stare at him, fear pulsing through me like electricity. He knows. How does he know? I must have slipped up. Said something wrong.
I should act casual. I lean back, pressing my shoulders to the wall, and say, "What's Divergent?"
"Don't play stupid," he says, "I suspected it last time, but this time it's obvious. You manipulated the simulation; you're Divergent. I'll delete the footage but unless you want to wind up dead at the bottom of the chasm, you'll figure out how to hide it during simulations! Now, if you'll excuse me."
He walks back to the simulation room and slams the door behind him. I feel my heartbeat in my throat. I manipulated the simulation; I broke the glass. I didn't know that was an act of Divergence.
How did he?
I push myself away from the wall and start down the hallway. I need answers, and I know who has them ... Tori.

After Tori told me about her brother and his Divergence, I started thinking about Four. How did he know about a Divergent's act. Is he Divergent? I don't know. I go up to Christina, "Hey," I say.
"Hey, ooooooh! Candor or Dauntless tomorrow night at Uriah's brothers place. What's his name again?"
"Zeke,"
"Yeah Zeke! At Zekes place!"
"Alright." I say.
"But right now, we're going shopping!" She says squealing.
I laugh and we link arms, skipping to the pit.

"How about this?" Christina asks.
I shake my head
"This?"
"Nope," I say popping the p.
"Tris, how about this?"
I get up and start walking away, "Christina, they're all too, slutty!"
"Fine," she mumbles, "you choose something then."
Finally! Control of my own outfit. I walk around the shop. I stop when I see a nice black dress thats got thin straps. goes down to about mid thigh. It's tight, but not too tight. It's simple. And I like it. I grab it off the rack and try it on.

I look in the mirror and I have to say, I look alright in this. When Christina sees me, she jumps up and down clapping. "Turn around!" I roll my eyes and do what she says. When I do a 360 degree turn, I gave Christina again with my hands in my hips. Suddenly people walk past the window. They're boys. One of the boy's looks inside the window and looks at me. I realise that boy as Four. He looks at me and grins. He looks at me for a little too long, I think. I look down and blush. I grab the coat hanger and walk back into the change room.

Christina and I payed for the dresses and walked back to the transfer initiates' dormitory. We sit down across from Will and Al. Peter comes up to me and asks me questions about how I got out of my fear so quick. We have a little argument. And then my friends start to, turn against me. I get pissed off and walk away. I go to the tattoo parlour and decide to get the Abnegation symbol tattooed on the back of my shoulder. I feel safe with Tori to do it because she knows of my Divergence.

I'm getting ready to go to Candor or Dauntless. I put on my new dress, black leather jacket, combat boots and a black bracelet. I let my hair down and let it go all wavy as it rests on my back. I apply mascara and eyeliner, and my coral pink lipstick. I head out to the Pedrad apartment.

When I get there, I see that everyone else is here but Four. "Where's Four?" I ask.
"He's working late in the Control Room." Zeke says. I nod and sit down in the circle.

"Lynn, Candor or Dauntless?" Zeke asks.
"Dauntless, doosh." She replies.
He places a hand over his heart, mocking hurt. He continues, "I dare you to go out into the pit and kiss the first person you see."
She gets up and walks out. I follow her with Uriah behind me. I get out my phone and walk a bit behind Lynn. I press record as she goes up to a person and kisses them. When she pulls back, we see that the person is Eric. I have to hold back my laugh. And it's so hard. He says, "What the hell was that, initiate?!"
"Uh, um, ah, bye!" She says and runs off.
Uriah and I run off back to Zeke's laughing so hard. When we get back we show everyone the video and they're all cracking up, laughing. Lynn comes back and she sees us all wiping away tears of laughter.
She sits down, grumpy, "Will, Candor or Dauntless?"
"Candor."
"PANSYCAKE!" Screams Uriah, pointing his finger at Will, like a two year old.
"Shut up Uri, hmmm, do you like Christina?" Asks Lynn.
"Yes," he mumbles and blushes. Christina blushes too. We all laugh and awww them.
Uriah, Candor or Dauntless?"
"You know me, I ain't no PANSYCAKE!" Uriah says. We laugh.
"I dare you to play seven minutes in heaven with ... Tris!"
I look up shocked and walk into the closet with Uriah.
"What should we do?" He asks.
"How about we have a dance party!?" I say.
"Yeah!"
I grab out my phone and play Gangnam Style. We start doing the craziest of moves. When the song is over, I then play The Duck Song. We use one hand as a beak and talk as the duck talks. We use the other to make it look like a tail. "A duck walks up to a lemonade stand and he says to the man, running the stand' 'Hey!' Bump bump bump, 'Got any grapes?" We laugh as we sing. Suddenly someone opens the door and laughs, "Time's up."
I turn the music off, Uriah and I walk out laughing. "Let's do it again sometime!" He jokes.
"Yea, definitely!" I reply. We sit back down and continue the game.
