CHAPTER FOUR

LUNA

           After Parker ran out after Ashton and Levi, I followed behind because I totally wanted to see where this was going. I see Ashton and Levi turn while Parker runs the other way.

            “Damn, is he that blind[1]?” I whisper to myself. I follow the two boys to…

            The park?! Levi should know how much I hate that damn park.

           I grab my phone to call Levi to get his butt back to the store, but then I saw him and Ashton looking around, probably to see if Parker was coming to get him. I see Ashton’s lips move, but I wasn’t close enough to hear him. As I walk closer, he falls onto my brother.

          “Ashton,” Levi whispers.

           Snap!  I smile at the picture I had taken on my phone. Oh that is so going on Facebook. 

          “Luna?!” Ashton yells, and he quickly got up and started running towards me. My eyes widen and I speedily stopped laughing and ran back into the store. Good thing I’m faster than Ashton.

LEVI

         Oh.My.God. That was Luna! She took a picture of Ashton on top of me. I’m going to kill her.

          “Luna! I swear to God if you don’t pick up your damn phone I’m going to…I’m going to sabotage you!” I yell at my phone, walking back to the music store. Alone. Ashton ran off to delete the photo.

          Alone. I hate that word. I hate that feeling too. My sister and I were always alone. Whenever our mom was out he’d hurt us, then drank a little more. After out mom left, taking Luna with her, I was left with him. He couldn’t stop drinking. I ended up leaving too, to go move in with mom and Luna. I lost track of where I was going because, I just walked past the store.

          “Hey, Levi!” someone yells behind me.

          I turn around and bump into Phoenix. I frowned, hoping it’d be my sister so I could force the picture out of her.

            “You want to go to the library with me? Everyone else doesn’t want to.” She asked.

PHOENIX

       “Please?” I beg. 

           I didn’t want to go somewhere alone. It sucks! Besides, most things are more fun with a friend. Levi finally nods in agreement.

        “Yay!” I said, jumping at the fact that I was finally able to get someone to go with me.
