CHAPTER 10

JENNIE'S POV
I'm inside my tent sleeping peacefully when suddenly, I feel how Jisoo kicks me unconsciously while dreaming. God, it hurted.

Yesterday I had problems to fall asleep because of certain boy. I'm really ashamed of all of this... Why am I acting like a complete teenager, how embarrassing.

Now I can't fall asleep again, I guess that I'll be waking up already. I leave my tent and stretch while feeling the awesome breeze with forest smell.

Suddenly, one by one, all the boys start coming out of their tents again, I look carefully at them, but there's only six of them. Where's Jungkook?

-Jennie: I guess that he's still sleeping, right? (smiles)
-Taehyung: What are you saying? All of us woke up already.
-Jennie: Then... Where's Jungkook?
-Jimin: Who?
-Jennie: Jungkook, Jeon Jungkook. C'mon, you can't have forgotten about him...
-Taehyung: We don't know who are you talking about, we don't know anyone named like that.

-Jimin: I think that you are still sleepy Jennie (chuckles and starts waking away)

It can't be... It can't be happening again! How's possible?! Jungkook disappeared just how Dahyun did! What's going on here?! I need to wake up Jisoo unnie.

-Jennie: Unnie! Unnie! (shakes her) C'mon, we have problems!
-Jisoo: Aww... What happens?
-Jennie: Jungkook... He disappeared!
-Jisoo: What?! (surprised) He was here when he headed to sleep...
-Jennie: It happened the same with Dahyun, there's something fishy here. I'm sure that somehow both cases are related...
-Jisoo: So, what do we do now?
-Jennie: We have to return home of course! We need to head to the club room and talk with Athan... I won't accept his answer "maybe Jungkook never existed neither" (groans) We have to do something about this!

-Time skip to the next day-

-Athan: Maybe Jungkook never existed... (srughs)
-Jennie: (pissed) I knew it...
-Jisoo: You are really starting to know him, huh? (smiles)
-Jennie: You are not helping me... Please, I need you to focus and tell us what's going on here.
-Athan: That would be cheating, Jen. I can't do that (smiles)
-Jennie: (sighs) I'm starting to have headache...
-Jisoo: We need to calm though. Whatever that happened to Jungkook, is the same that happened with Dahyun, right?
-Athan: (scanning Jisoo)
-Jennie: Is she right?
-Athan: (nods)
-Jennie: Athan... It has something to do with you.
-Athan: Why have you come to that conclusion? (chuckles)
-Jennie: Because you are the only one who knows the truth behind this.
-Athan: Ah... (smirks) In that case, Jisoo also knows everything behind it.
-Jennie: (jaw drops) What?!
-Jisoo: Traitor!
-Jennie: Unnie?
-Jisoo: The thing is that just like Athan, I am not a human neither... (smiles nervously) But we are real. I can confirm it, and people can see me.
-Jennie: I'm... I'm having a mental breakdown, I need fresh air.

-Athan: Jennie (grabs her arm)
-Jennie: No. Please let me alone for a while...
-Athan: But-
-Jennie: When a girl is telling you that she needs time, she really means it idiot! (let go of your grip)

I rush outside and start heading to the rooftop. I don't really know how to take the fact that none of them are humans. They all know the truth behind everything. So, in other words, Jisoo unnie knows the world's biggest secret.

I don't understand, I can't understand why am I necessary for all of this?! Why have I been involved in something this unrealistic? I just wanted to be popular line Lisa and Danri. Instead, I got in trouble. God...

ATHAN'S POV

-Jisoo: You've gone too far, you know? I was supposed to act like a human so I could provide her emotional support (sighs) You ruined it.
-Athan: Maybe... But, don't you think that now is more interesting? (smirks)
-Jisoo: You are a psychopath.
-Athan: Hey, my objective is the same as yours... The only difference between you and me is that you are loved and admired by everyone while I'm just hated.
-Jisoo: Again with that... We are just living according to our fate. We can't do anything about it...
-Athan: I know, but I'm still trying to change it. I want to be good too, you know? That's why I need Jennie so desperately... (sighs)
-Jisoo: I understand it, that's why I'm helping you. But I'm starting to worry...
-Athan: What do you mean?
-Jisoo: Jennie is probably overwhelmed by the fact that none of us are humans. That makes me worry about how will she take it once she discovers...
-Athan: Once she discovers?
-Jisoo: You know, once she discovers that she's not a human neither (looks down)
-Athan: Jisoo, she's a string woman. I'm sure that she'll be able to understand it (smiles)
-Jisoo: You really have complete faith on her, huh? (smiles)
-Athan: Of course, Jisoo I don't fall for anyone, you know? If Jennie is the one I love is because a lot of reasons (chuckles)
-Jisoo: Aigoo... We exist since the beginning of this world, and I have never seen you like this. Its... Disgusting but nice at the same time.
-Athan: Why? Are you jealous? (smirks)
-Jisoo: Me? Jealous? Please... (laughs) We are like siblings.
-Athan: I agree with you there... (smiles)

-Jisoo: Should we return home or wait for Jennie?
-Athan: Let's return home and give her some space today... (sighs and starts walking)
-Jisoo: However you want it (smiles)

JENNIE'S POV

I'm alone against the world's biggest secret and two unknown living were. Jisoo and Athan are not humans, what are they then? I need to know, and I need to know now.

Also, Dahyun and Jungkook disappeared... Why? What's the reason behind it? Its so frustrating the fact that they know but they don't tell me. What's the purpose of that?

Why? Is it because they were not popular? Is that the reason why they disappeared and no one remembers them? Cause if that's the case... Maybe I should try with someone popular.

Someone like... Lisa? Yeah, she gotta be the one. There should be a hidden reason why Athan didn't want her to be the first one.

But right now I don't care about whatever he thinks. I'll act without telling any of them about it. What could go wrong?
