CHAPTER 12

ATHAN'S POV
I use my powers to find Jennie, I know that right now I might sound like a stalker. But I really have no option, I don't want her to end up hurted again.

I finally arrive to the place where she is laughing accompanied by someone. I don't want to be seen, so I keep on shading between shadows.

I get closer and closer and spot the person she's with. Seriously? Lisa? I thought that I told her to get involved with her... I guess that I worried for nothing, she met her here causally. Right?

I need to discover what are they talking about. Maybe something like "this guy drives me crazy... His name? Oh, he's Athan". I chuckles to myself at the thought of her talking about me...

However, my smile is abruptly deleted from my face the money I see them both kissing. It can't be possible... Jennie is kissing someone and that someone is Lisa.

Agh... Its been so long since I last felt this inside of me. It hurts... Its really painful. Why is she doing this to me? Is she really in love with Lisa? What am I doing here bothering her?!

What did I expect in first place? Jennie would be grateful because I helped her to live longer? That she would eventually like someone like me?

That's not possible! No matter what, I'll never deserve love. I'm a monster, I just bring bad and hard times for everyone... I deserve nothing but suffering.

-Jisoo: (uses an umbrella with you) You'll get all soaked... (sighs and smiles)
-Athan: Jisoo... (looks down)
-Jisoo: I know, it hurts (pats your back) But it's her life, she chose this. You can't do anything about it, okay?
-Athan: What if she ever feels the same I'm feeling right now? That would be horrible, that's why I thought that maybe if she didn't date anyone, she would be happier... (sighs) I messed up again, Jisoo. No matter what, I never bring anything good.
-Jisoo: C'mon, don't say so... (smiles) You are doing something really good right now.
-Athan: I am?
-Jisoo: (nods) You are rejecting your feelings so she can be happy with whoever she wants (smiles) You are choosing her happiness over anything.
-Athan: If you put it in that way, I guess that you are alright... (smiles weakly) I think that I want some chicken.
-Jisoo: (chuckles) Let's go back home then, I'll give you some for being a good boy.
-Athan: I'm not a dog, Jisoo.
-Jisoo: Sorry, sorry...

JENNIE'S POV
-Next day at the club-

-Jennie: I don't have too much time for the club right now, I have another date so... (expecting a reaction)
-Jisoo: Have fun Jendukie (smiles)
-Jennie: (nods and smiles)

I glance discretely at Athan who's laying at the couch with a book at the top of his face. He's not asleep, why isn't he saying anything? I'm sure that this pisses him off...

-Athan: Jennie.

I knew it! I knew that he wouldn't allow this to happen. After all, he doesn't want me around Lisa...

-Jennie: Yes?
-Athan: Bring an umbrella with you, today will rain again.

Eh? Is that all? Are we serious? This is not the kind of reaction that I expected. Is he really fine with this? Is he going to allow me to be with Lisa? Why?! Why isn't he stopping me like yesterday?!

-Jennie: Okay, thanks for the advice.

What am I going to do now? I expected him to save me from Lisa. I don't love her, all I wanted was to take revenge for everything he's done. But he's not affected at all. What am I going to do?

-Time skip two weeks later-

I can't handle this anymore. Lisa just wants more and more, she wants to go further. I don't want to... I really can't go any further! It is reserved for my real first love!

Althought I didn't want to, I think that is time to talk with Jisoo unnie. I'm too embarrassed to ask Athan for help. So I'll talk with her.

-Jennie: Unnie... Can we talk?
-Jisoo: Of course (smiles) What is it?
-Jennie: I need your help... (sighs) I've done something really embarrassing.
-Jisoo: What have you done?
-Jennie: Everything with Lisa is not what I wanted... (looks down) I just wanted to disobey Athan as a revenge. I wanted to take Lisa's case by myself. But it resulted in a complete mess...
-Jisoo: What are you talking about? Isn't she your girlfriend?
-Jennie: It's just part of the process... Dahyun wanted Sana, Jungkook wanted freedom, and Lisa wanted me! I don't like her! (embarrassed) I expected Athan to stop me or something like that, but he just shrugged it off. How is he able to do that?!
-Jisoo: (surprised) You were trying to get Athan's attention?
-Jennie: What? I was not, I was trying to piss him off... However, Lisa now wants to take it further and I seriously can't handle it anymore. What do I do? I need help.
-Jisoo: Well... Uhm (gulps) Your idea would had worked up if it wasn't because of me. I told Athan to let you be despite the fact that he hated it.
-Jennie: Eh? (smiles) That's a relief... I thought he didn't care.
-Jisoo: Oh... (smirks)
-Jennie: What happens?
-Jisoo: Nothing, you just remind me of a couple (chuckles) You know, you trying to make him jealous to have his attention...

-Jennie: (blushes) Please, don't talk that kind of nonsense... That will never happen (looks down)
-Jisoo: Well, in any case, you should talk with him... I'm sure that he'll find a solution (smiles)
-Jennie: That's too embarrassing, could you talk with him for me?
-Jisoo: Hmm... Okay, but you'll eat chicken with me (chuckles)
-Jennie: (grins) Deal.
-Jisoo: Nice, then resist a little bit, soon Athan will rescue you (pats her head)

Athan rescuing me? Please, I'm not a princess... And I don't need any kind of prince neither. Plus, he's too complicated to be something like that for me. But... In this case, I really wanted him to save me. Its sad that Jisoo unnie stopped him.
