Chapter 20

I watched that one tear fall silently down yet still Couldn't feel one thing from him. His eyes shifted to my chest. I should punch him. I really should punch him right now.

"I'm envious....well...I've decided to be envious."

"So your the Guardian of envy?" Say what?

He shook his head." No."

I felt my back ache a bit." Let's sit and talk about this somewhere else." I grabbed his hand trudging forward when he stopped me,making me follow him. Right I had no idea where I was going anyway. We silently walked threw the dark halls. If only Amari were here lighting up the way again. He pulled me into a room and I looked around gasping. Normal lights? That was nothing compared to the white and baby blue that bloomed across the room. Why have rooms with different colors and have the halls all creepy like? Makes no sense to me.

We sat at the pure white table that had the pretty white chairs with little designs of blue. The rug was also a pure white but had a beautiful deep blue flower design with swirls stretching out from it.

I folded my hands on the table watching him stare at me.

"If you aren't envy then what are you?"

He looked at the table and began speaking after a long time." My father.... He made me do it. The curse that is."

I stared confused. The curse." Wait a minute! I thought that... I thought the curse was around for a long time! How old are you?"

He closed his eyes." I was told this is my second life."

Oh....gotcha." So once you came back..." I let it trail off.

"History repeated itself. The power I had in me was utilized to its fullest even when I really didn't want to. "He paused a bit and slowly his features shifted back to Josh. I sighed a bit relieved that his face was back to normal." Not that I could really feel that either."

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm Vacant. Emptiness. Vain. Hollow. Nothing."

I thought about that and understood. That's why he's that way. Its creepy." Wait but.. You felt creepy before." I argued finally. I felt that from him before.

"Its a desire from me even though its not a desire. I'm kidding you were just very conscience of my absence of emotions. You were so conscience that it made you feel creeped out."

His life is confusing. That one time I went crazy and couldn't feel anything was like this as well kind of. I just kept hurting myself trying to feel the hurt but still couldn't." Explain that."

"I want to feel but its not a want either."

Yeah its complicated. Let's move pass this." Your father made you start the curse right? You didn't want to do it and eventually history repeated itself right? Then you killed him....but you didn't stop the curse."

"By that time I had already become a guardian."

Damn. So instead of just dieing off he didn't follow history and just ended up becoming a guardian of Emptiness. That sucks.

I stared at him sighing." That's still wrong."

"I just wanted to feel. I wanted to feel anything. Why should I be cursed with this? Those were my thoughts. Even though I knew I had ruined peoples lives I thought it was fine and knew I was envious even when I couldn't feel it."

Hmm.....

Well then." I guess that end-"

"I'm envious of you."
