Echo of cognition(Book 3 of Forgotten Series)

Chapter 1

I sat on the roof of Sandy's building. Sandy had to watch because he had no idea what was going on and he didnt want to be left alone.

The whole crew sat on the roof watching.

Allen stood over me and kissed my forehead. Why did he have to be here to?

The unsealing thing back fired. Sadly. Meaning even Aaron wasnt strong enough. A faint image of Kory showed during it. I frowned deeply. Damn he put this  seal on good. Whatever.

My Kory. Where is my Kory?

I stood looking at the choking Aaron who then fainted.

Drake grabbed me."Heal him right now."

I followed his orders. Aaron started twitching. What the hell Kory!"What is this?"

"This is if anyone tries to break the seal. I thought it would at least be weakend."Drake muttered.

Carmen had to assist me. I sighed relieved. Great hes better.

"Cant you feel Kory where ever you are? Cant he hear you where ever he is?"

I nodded."Unless the Guardians put a block on me. Which means vice versa."

They crossed their arms.

Sandy slowly walked to the group. This was exactly like old times except we have a few newbies. All of us together.

I cracked my neck."Yessica get to work here."

She closed her eyes and walked from the group. I started pacing.

My Kory.....I closed my eyes and got a faint sense of him but it was weird."I think hes sleeping."

"You can feel him?"Drake demanded.

"Its very faint but I can feel him."

Carmen rubbed Aarons head gently then kissed his forehead. His eyes opened a brief second but he closed them again.

I heard a loud siren. I looked to the sky. Helicopters. Are you serious?

"I knew it was going to be fast. America takes terrorism very serious."Sandy muttered.

Damn these humans they are so getting in the way of the real targets. No one wants to deal with these people.

Damyan had an arrow ready."They attack together I see. The humans in the light theyre in the shadows."

Really?

Thats so.......like them. Cant fight fair."Guys. Let me handle this."

Michael called everyones attention to him holding up his phone."James said hes on his way with Amari. It might be a while and hes afraid of the forest even while Amari isnt."

"No Amari cant come here."

Michael held my eyes."Regardless im leaving to get him. Ill be gone for a while. Shawnna your going home."

Shawnna looked towards me frightfully."Why am I going home?"

"I need you to take me there. I cant teleport here as freqently as Id like. Its not the same for me."

Shawnna looked towards me again. She grabbed my hand."Alright twin. Will you be good without us?"

I smirked and bit my lip then did a soft chuckle."Im a one man show."

She muffed me a bit. They were gone. Shawnna took to the sky with Michael holding her.

I nodded a bit.
