hongjoong found himself in front of a hospital, where he was told to meet seonghwa at. he didn't have seonghwa's number, so he would just have to hope that he could find him on his own. he passed by all the medical fields, before he was in the flu shot section.
he looked around the small waiting room, before his eyes landed on a certain someone. he took a deep breath, before approaching them and tapping them on their shoulder. "seonghwa, it's hongjoong." he states.
"hongjoong? why are you here?" hongjoong shrugged, "san asked me to come for him, said you hated getting your flu shot on your own." seonghwa scoffed, "that's ridiculous.. i'm fine.."
hongjoong could tell in seonghwa's expression that he was lying, and took a seat next to him. "well, wether it's true or not i'm here. i kind of don't feel like walking all the way back home, so is it okay if i just stay with you?" hongjoong asks, seonghwa's eyes widening in response.
"you walked here? how far away do you live?" hongjoong thought for a moment, "well, about an hour away driving distance. but walking, an hour and forty-five minutes. my mom doesn't own a car so i practically just walk wherever i go." he answers honestly, seonghwa clearly still in shock that he walked here.
"i'm making you stay with me either way, i drove here so when i'm finished i can drive you home, okay?" hongjoong nods, "fine by me."
"park seonghwa," a nurse had called out, meaning it was seonghwa's turn. nervously, he sat up and started walking towards the door; hongjoong following quickly after him. they were lead to a room in the back where the doctor was waiting for him.
there was three chairs in the room, one for the patient, one for the guardian, and one for the doctor. i guess you could say hongjoong was seonghwa's "guardian" but he was more like a visitor. even then, hongjoong went straight for the doctor's chair because it was a swivel chair.
he smiled like a child and started to spin around on it, not realizing that seonghwa was watching him. he took a couple more spins, before the doctor had said something. "hey, you're adorable but i'm going to need you to move." the doctor smiled softly at hongjoong, who blushed in embarrassment. "o-oh, right, my apologies."
he quickly moved out of the way and sat next to seonghwa, who by the way was still looking at hongjoong. while the doctor was setting things up, seonghwa took the chance and nudged hongjoong's shoulder before leaning closer to him. "you're cute." he whispered, causing hongjoong to blush even more than he was.
"shut up, i'm not, stop lying to me." hongjoong whispered back, and seonghwa just laughed. at first seonghwa found hongjoong's negative comments annoying, but now they were just cute and hilarious. he can't help but smile when he hears them, and they make his day.
a couple minutes pass, and the doctor is almost ready to give seonghwa his shot. hongjoong can tell how tensed up and nervous seonghwa looks, and felt the need to do something about it. he reached his hand over to seonghwa's hesitantly, stopping before he did. he was about to pull his hand away from seonghwa's, but before he could seonghwa grabbed his. he must've noticed hongjoong reaching his hand out only to pull it back multiple times, and decided to just hold it. their fingers laced together as if they belonged.
hongjoong cringed at the sudden gestureat first, but once he felt seonghwa squeeze his hand during his shot it made him smile. he couldn't remember the last time he held someones hand, and he kind of forgot how nice it was.
