there's a gesture or thing that Emilia does, that helps later in the story.
Alex held out his wrist as I wrote my number on it.
"What's my number?" I asked covering it.
"555-666-7777... and if I forget it. I'll look at my sticky note." He held up a pink sticky note with my number.
"Good job. Now." I turned to the other two.
"As soon as you hear that they're going to let us play, come back here. OK?' I told the boys.
"Yes boss." They said but didn't leave.
"Go!" I yelled at them as they quickly disappeared.
Julie and I fell on the couch as I propped my feet on the table.
"You nervous?" I asked.
"Yeah. You?" She asked.
"Same. Luke and I almost kissed last night." I turned to her.
"Seriously?! Have you kissed since the last time?" Julie asked.
"No and I haven't touched him and the boys since Flynn met them." I said.
"Oh... you like Luke and he likes you. Why don't you ask him out?" Julie asked as I sighed.
"I want too, trust me I do. But this might be the last day we get to see them. And I don't want to get my heart hurt... again." Julie sighed cuddling in my side.
"Maybe there's a way, we can get them to stay. What about the books you took out of the library?" I shook my head.
"No use. We just have to hope for the best." I said resting my head ontop of hers.
35 minutes later and Julie and I were getting restless.
Julie let out a long sigh as the boys came back.
"Oh my gosh! What took you guys so long? Did Willie do it? Did you talk to them? Did they watch? Did they like us? Are we playing? Someone answer! Why's no one talking?" Julie asked all in one breath.
"Whoa! That's a lot of questions!" Reggie said looking at Luke.
"Luke, you wanna take this one?" Reggie looked at Luke.
"Take a seat." Luke told us.
Julie and I sat down, her squeezing my hand tightly.
"It's fine. Everything's fine." Luke told us as him and the boys leaned down.
"Yeah. You should be getting a call right... now!" Alex pointed at my phone.
It didn't ring.
"OK. Right..... now." My phone rang.
"Nailed it." Alex said as I picked up my phone.
"Hello?" I asked.
"Hi, this is Tasha from the Orpheum in Hollywood." The boys and Julie started cheering.
"Is this Emilia of Julie and the Phantoms?" Tasha asked.
"Yes, it is!" I said putting my phone in my ear.
"Are you available to open for us tonight?"
"Yes, we are available." I said.
"OK." Tasha said happily.
"Thank you so much." I said.
"See you then."
We said our goodbyes as the boys and Julie continued to cheer.
"We're doing it!" The boys cheered.
"We're playing the Orpheum, baby!" I cheered as Julie hugged me tightly.
"I'm swimming!" Alex exclaimed as the boys held him up in the air, twirling him around.
A couple hours later, Julie and I made our way to the garage with our outfits for tonight.
"Are you ready?" Julie asked the boys as they stayed silent holding their wrist.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Yeah. We just got rocked pretty hard by one of those jolt things." Alex said as they came over.
"Pretty sure I ghost peed a little." Reggie said.
"But we're fine." Luke told us.
"Actually guys, I'm a little nervous." Julie said.
"Luke, uh, can I talk to you for a second?" I asked.
"Yeah."
Luke came over as I hung my stuff on the garage door handle.
"What?" Luke chuckled as we stood four inches apart.
"Um... can you do me a favor?" I said.
"Anything, Emilia. You know that." I smiled.
"When you cross over, if you happen to see my mom, can you tell her that Julie and I love her and thank her for bringing you to me?" My eyes widened.
"I mean us." I blushed.
"Yeah, I will." I nodded.
"Thank you." I said as he smiled.
"Oh yeah, I wanted to give you something." Luke took off his white and black bracelet.
"For you to remember me by." I smiled putting it on my wrist.
"Thank you. Here." I took off my mood ring.
"I have two one for each hand. So you can remember me." Luke chuckled.
"Thanks... band circle?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"Guys, band circle." Luke said as we made our way over.
We all stood in a circle, the boys held hands as Julie and I did, my hand hovered over Reggie's as Julie hovered over Alex's.
"We don't know what brought us here, but... what we do know is, you two are stars Julie, Emilia. And just because this is our last night together, it doesn't mean we won't be watching you two from above... or..." Luke looked down at the floor causing us to chuckled.
"Now, let's go rock this show. Let's give 'em a night they'll be talking about 'til the sun comes up." We smiled.
"Ledgends on three." We all put our hands over each other.
"One."
"Two."
"Three."
"Legends!" We all yelled throwing our hands up in the air as dad honked the horn.
"That's our dad. He's driving us three, so we'll see you guys there." Julie said as they nodded.
Julie and I grabbed our outfits, and headed to the door.
We looked at them one last time before heading out.
