The Fall

Felicia POV

Damn my head hurts like hell, that was the first thought I had. I opened my eyes to see Alec crying. 

Why in the world is he crying. Is he hurt somewhere. I ran to him and tried to touch him but then I realized that I can't. My hands passed through hid shoulders and I looked down to see him hold me.

My body was lying on the ground with blood dripping from my chest. My heart. 

I placed my hands over my heart. Aspen took them.

Why did she, I thought to myself. But strangely I couldn't feel any emotions. I wasn't sad or angry but I felt at peace.

I heard Alec crying out my name in hope that I will open my eyes but little did he know I won't. 

"Felicia" 

I heard my name being called out and I turned back to see my parents. 

"Mom"

"Dad" 

I yelled and ran towards them. I hugged them. 

"I am finally with you, I have dreamed of this moment for so long that I don't remember the last time I was actually happy" I told him 

"Now don't lie, we know how good Alec treated you" My mother spoke with a certain warmness in her eyes. 

And suddenly I can feel this certain pain in my heart. 

"Your time is yet to come my darling" My parents spoke and I could feel myself being pulled away from them and the more I force to go towards them the more I was pulled back.

Adam POV

I opened my eyes to see myself hanging above the cliff and just an edge away, one wrong step and I will be down the hill. I looked down the cliff to see Aspen falling down. Down and Down slowly. Like she was embracing it. The fall.

I was confused, didn't she want her place among the angels, then why was she jumping into it. My heart pained at the thought of never seeing Aspen again or holding her tight in my arms.

I looked around to see the sky turn red in color and storms breaking loose. This was uneven and un predictable. Wasn't the cliff happy with Felicia's heart. I ran my way back to the cave. It started to rain and winds were getting heavy. As I moved along the cave to its entrance, The walls were breaking down.

I shifted in order to move faster and just in a matter of seconds I was saved from the Cave being crashed down. My emotions weren't in place and I was in constant doubt with what I had seen with my eyes.

I walked away from the cave to where Alec was. I turned around to look at what was left of the Cave when I saw Aspen flying up in the air.

She had a glow around her and she smiled which made my heart warm despite her acts of betrayal, no one can warm my heart like she does. 

Her horns were missing and her wings they were as beautiful as ever. My eyes were caught up in the beauty. She came down next to me and in an attempt to hold her hand I came closer to her but I tumbled down and fell on to her but to my surprise I passed through her. She was transparent. 

"Aspen" I stood up confused.

"I was long gone before you realized Adam, I was taken away and my powers too. I was never a person of free will for the past two years and I am extremely sorry that I put you through so much pain. If there is any way I can change that I definitely will"

"Who are they?" I asked her.

"I cannot speak his name, I am forbidden even to mention anything about him but trust me on this, he does not want another spider king on this earth. Run away while you can"

"Aspen you know that Alec needs to be with Felicia to go back being human right?"

"She isn't dead yet Adam"

"She isn't?"

"No, that's why the cliff broke inside out cursing all those who jumped into it and liberting the ones who fought for peace"

"So you are going..."

"I will watch you over Adam and Adam I ... I have always loved you please don't doubt that" Aspen spoke as she faded out.
