I found it particularly difficult to hide my excitement when we finally made it inside the park. The park was already decorated for the upcoming holidays with Christmas lights entangling every corner, wreaths and garlands hung accordingly and great, loving holiday spirit filling the air. Logan and I walked hand in hand with smiles planted on our faces.

"Imagine how breathtaking it's going to look tonight." Logan exclaimed.

"We are staying for the fireworks, right?" I said secretly hoping he'd say yes.

"Of course, Lancaster. We have to experience the entire thing, we just can't half ass it."

"This is going to be so much fun. I haven't been here in ages. First and foremost, my first purchase here in this wonderful land has to be my own set of ears."

"Avery Lancaster, a 17 year old straight A student is excited for Disneyland?" he mocked.

I was appalled. Why did I think Logan could go a day without making fun of me? "So you're telling me you're not the least bit excited?" I raised my eyebrow.

"Hell yeah I'm excited," he smiled enormously, "I just like messing with you. Now let's go get you your ears." He said putting his arm around me.

After twenty minutes of searching for my ears, we had found 'Avery' sewn to the back of a set of ears, much to my luck. "Are you sure you don't want some ears? I'm sure they'll have 'Logan.'" I asked.

"No, thanks I'm fine really. I came for something much better."

After finding my ears, we spent the rest of our day exploring the park in awe. We were star struck with the entire atmosphere. Despite the fact that it was aimed more for a younger audience, we got on the Alice in Wonderland ride. Toy Story has a special place in our hearts so we couldn't pass up the opportunity to shoot at some lights in the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters. Logan has a soft spot for Chip 'n Dale so he dragged me to the Chip 'n Dale Treehouse.

"Okay, enough with all this kiddy stuff. Time for some roller coasters." Logan announced.

He wanted roller coasters and he got it. We went on California Screamin'. The entire time Logan sounded like a six year old girl with his screams. When the ride ended he looked a little pale. "Was that fast enough for you?"

"Are you kidding me? I love roller coasters."

"Great because there's a ton more we need to go on before the day is over."

Even though it was in the middle of December, we tried our luck on the Grizzly River Run-a water ride. In our little raft, we were paired with a family of four. Of course, Logan took it upon himself to start a conversation with them.

"Hey, how you doing? I'm Logan and this here is Avery, stunning right? She thinks that just because a man had a slight fear over fast moving roller coasters, she feels she has the right to make fun of him. Kick him while he is down, if you will. So I'm determined to get her soaking wet by the time this ride is over."

He had the family laughing throughout the entire ride, his charm beaming through his intoxicating smile. He ended up getting mad because out of everyone in that raft, he had gotten the most wet. "Must've been the seating arrangements. If we would've switched spots this would've been you!" Logan stammered. Luckily, he dried quickly and we were able to get on the Haunted Mansion, one of my favorites. We also went on Indiana Jones Adventure, It's A Small World, Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Soarin' Over California, Space Mountain, and Terror of Tower. We decided we had enough at around eight in the evening. We found a Dip 'n Dot stand and a bench to rest at while we waited for the fireworks show to start.
