Chapter 6

Hey everyone, sorry i havent been able to upload a chapter as soon as i had hoped, because i haven't been feeling great, and my eyes are hurting most nights so I havent written as much as I would have liked. anyway, i hope you enjoy this chapter and i'll try to upload whenever i can. 

I'd really appreciate some comments and/or favourites because it helps me know if you lot like this kind of stuff

[ Danny’s POV ]

“And here I was, actually thinking there would be pizza” Laura joked

“You’re too pure, that’s the problem” I laughed

“Rude, just rude.” she said and pretended to be annoyed

“You’re also a terrible actress” I poked her in the side and she cracked a smile, which turned into and giggle, and once I realised she was extremely ticklish, she was as good as done and she knew it.

Yep, in the middle of the great hall I, Danny, the huge, red headed, ‘sensible one’ started tickling Laura, the small, brown haired, ‘quiet one’ in full view of pretty much every single student at Hogwarts. Except the fifth years, they were at Hogsmede. 

“Stop, Danny, stop” she begged me, I smiled innocently at her. I continued to poke at her sides

“Say I’m the best and I will” I compromised

“Ok, ok you’re the best, now stop it” she breathed out and I let go of her waist and broke into a fit of laughter

“You’re so predictable Laura” I smiled and picked up my knife and fork once again, knowing that comment would annoy her

“Am not” she retaliated

“Are too” I came back at her

“Am not, you’re too tall” she spoke

“So now you’re hating on my height?” I raised my eyebrows and tilted my head

“Back off Hagrid” her shoulders shook with laughter

“Oh no you didn’t” I shook my head. This was when she decided it would be a great idea to get up and draw a fair amount of attention to us

“Yeah, I did, and that’s my cue” she pushed me back into my chair and practically ran out of the hall. I left our plates there, hopefully someone would do a good deed and clear them up for us. I ran up the stairs and said the password to the painting, rushing inside before she could try to make conversation with me.

“that little…” and that’s when I rushed upstairs, she’s hidden there before, it was my best bet. Turns out she’d changed up her hiding options. I ran downstairs and back into the common room, determined she would reveal herself

“Laura I know you’re in here, some 3rd year said she saw you come in here, so come out or it’ll be bad” I started searching in any possible hiding place that she could be in.

“If you come out now I won’t be terribly mean to you, guides honour” I hoped this would convince her to give up

“Who the hell is Guides?” she asked and I walked towards her, we were stood in front of a couch so I sat down on it

“Muggle thing, it would be too much effort to explain to a mere witch like yourself” she responded and sat down, rolled her eyes and sighed

“Oh, yeah because being a witch is a bad thing” she stated, sarcastically.

“Shut up, you loser” I retorted

“Uh, excuse you?” she turned to face me

“Hey, so you guys know how rude it is to leave your plates for someone else to clear up? Cause it is very rude…” a voice echoed into the room and Laura jumped to the other end of the couch.

“Yeah, sorry about that, I was in a rush” she looked over at me then stood up and walked towards the fire. Betty and her friend Daisy came into the room and sat on armchair

“So, what have you guys been up to?” she asked

“Danny was explaining why she took Divination, still don’t quite understand if I’m honest” Laura smiled at me

“Yeah, speaking of Trelawney, I have to ask her something about today’s lesson” I got up “see you guys later” I walked out of the room before anyone could ask if I was ok. I wasn’t, no way was I ok. These feelings I have for Laura are developing, but I don’t know if she feels the same way. I mean im pretty sure we were flirting just now, before we were interrupted, but what if she just saw it as friendly conversation. I headed towards the Ravenclaw common room, I needed to hang out with Will for a bit, like old times.
