It was the beginnings of Spring even though you can still wear a light coat.
I sat in the park enjoying the warmth of the sun.
A woman came up pushing a stroller inside was a sleeping baby of six months.
I smiled. "He looks like he's out." I said of the sleeping boy.
She breathed. "Finally, I usually come here to get a break."
Another lady came up with a what look to be a two year old and a newborn. She greeted us.
"I finally can get a breather. My husband's at work. In a three hours he expects me to have these kids quiet and supper done."
The other lady said the same thing about her husband.
"It's like after they get it and you get pregnant...you on your own...they expect you to be super woman..." said the first woman. Her baby stir and cried but she gently nudged him back to sleep.
I smiled. "It's hard." I replied. "Why can't there be more men like him?"
The second lady pointed to Relic as he swung Tyania on the baby swing.
Tyania was laughing happily. I smiled again.
"The two of them belong to you?" asked one of the ladies.
The glint of my engagement ring caught her eye as I nod.
"Congratulations, enjoy it.." said the other. The ring didn't match the expense and shine of Jason's but there was more meaning behind it.
I looked at Relic and Tyania and smile saying,
"I am definitely enjoying it."The End
