Day 23 - Night
The Rhodes Island landship is a massive vehicle, designed to carry around an inmeasurable weight. As it was built to carry all sorts of buildings, machinery and people, it in turn needs to be able to store and supply all the necessary materials for its own upkeep and what its hundreds of residents may require.
It has been built to be able to function near-autonomously, having self-sufficient energy plants, farms and the like. While in theory this would be enough for any ordinary town, Rhodes Island is anything but that. The medical department constantly request all sorts of foreign supplies and equipment (much to logistics' dismay), while other resources are needed in order for Closure to keep the landship in perfect maintenance.
It was the one thing she took seriously. After all, nobody knew when a disaster could take place, and if anything started malfunctioning it could doom them all. The vampire was incredibly skilled in her field of expertise and fast to boot, and the organization's growing amount of members now included many technicians who were happy to help someone of her caliber. Even if sometimes that help was turned into full-on labour as she watched from the sidelines on lazy days, telling them what to get done while she was nowhere to be seen.
It all amounts to a need for resources that even a company like Rhodes Island can't survive on its lonesome forever. That's why the landship constantly travels from place to place and docks in major cities or towns where they have connections as it serves two purposes.
First off, it allows for quick and efficient resupply of anything that may be necessary, by asking for materials to be delivered to their destination it eliminates the need for vehicles or people to catch up to a landship, which would be less than practical.
Second, and probably more important, is the freedom staff is given to spend some time for themselves. It is important to note that many of Rhodes Island's workers are civilians, and it is understandable that they sometimes long to have a breath of fresh air and even if for a moment, enjoy themselves in a familiar enviroment. It is never stated how much time they will spend in each location, but everyone is given a warning a few days before leaving as to not be caught by surprise, only with the exception of an emergency or unforeseen Catastrophe in which case they would recall everyone.
Some rules exist, but they are more of reminders than anything. In summary, cities with strong negative views towards the Infected will prohibit them from leaving the landship as to not spur any trouble. Areas that are known to be politically unsafe or dangerous for whatever reason are not to be treaded upon unless absolutely vital, and only for as long as it needs to be.
People who are in unstable conditions or whose stay in Rhodes Island is to be kept a secret are also forbbiden from leaving, although in the latter case it is mostly fine, as long as they conceal their presence.
Others do stay by their own choice, as some dislike the rowdy enviroment common in most cities. Most Operators make good use of their time, moreso after specially tough operations or missions. With all the growing war and chaos that they find themselves in, it is a respite during which they can relax and live out their lives as they had always wished.
But some never had a choice to think about how they wanted to live to begin with. What do they do in that case, then?

- ...And we are done.
- Thank you as always, Doctor.
Another check-up finished, and poof. Back to the grind.
