Day 16 - Morning

Reed silenced her alarm clock with deadly accuracy. Despite being half-asleep, shutting off these little devils is a skill that everyone develops in the course of their lives as it practically becomes a part of one's morning routine, and she was no exception.
Yet no matter how annoying they may be sometimes, they are still a neccesary evil especially for those who are heavy-sleepers. They are well-made and resilient, but that doesn't stop some of the more physically developed Operators from sometimes requesting new ones due to ''accidentally'' pressing it too hard.
The Draco in all truth didn't need one as she often woke up on her own, but she liked having it just in case she overslept. Not that it was a problem even if it were to happen, as it is understandable to sometimes blunder and moreso after a rough day. It is nothing noteworthy, as Rhodes Island is full of different personalities and Reed being late to one of the seemingly-never ending amount of check-ups would be nothing to worry about.
If anything, seeing as she is one of the more well-behaved and compliant patients the medics have to deal with, they'd simply turn a blind eye to the issue. But Reed didn't want to stand out, even for a reason as insignificant as this. She was content with spending her days living almost like a ghost; only appearing when it was required of her to then fade away into her room or the ship's deck. Both places she knew well and they had what she desired in common: No one would bother her there.
At least, that's what she used to think. A certain fateful encounter recently changed her way to approach her life, and gave her a new outlook on her existence. It gave her something to look forward to, and perhaps that's all she ever really needed. Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain and it is her gratitude to The Doctor.
Speaking of which.
-Ahh... Weird. Last night I fell asleep on The Doctor's office, but I don't recall coming back to my room. Did I sleepwalk, perhaps? No, it can't be. I've never done such a thing, so then what happened? If I'm in my room, then someone brought me here. Which means-
- The Doctor!!! He carried me here while I was sleeping? I-I can't believe it, he couldn't have!
A faint blush raced through her cheeks at the thought. Everything lined up perfectly. Nobody else was there, and even if there was you don't just ask someone to carry another unaware person to their room, much less without knowing if said person gave their consent. Carrying Reed in particular, someone who most people require a written permit to be even allowed to talk to was a no-no for just about anyone. Except of course, The Doctor, coated in protective gear like always which allowed him to pick her up safely.
- What did he think? He entered my room, then. Did he see anything strange?
She looked around her room, and at first sight there was no real cause for alarm. It had always been a simple and quiet place, with the bare necessities. Apart from the standard equipment all rooms have, she owned a small pedestal for her lance, and a diary filled with poems.
Reed panicked for a second at the chance that The Doctor noticed it, and switfly rose from her bed to check. It was intact, thankfully, the lock intact and the key hidden somewhere in on of her desk's drawers. After all, she had many secrets to keep and another one would be easy enough to conceal.
- What did I write about last night? Oh, I recall now. I ended up staying the whole afternoon at his office as Dr Kalt'sit came and took him with her. She said they wouldn't take long, yet here I am.
