When The Sun Shines {Book Two In The Klayley Trilogy}

A Promise

Klaus didn't lie. He pressured Bonnie and Kai, pacing wildly as they both worked their hardest to find Hayley. Caroline urged Klaus to sit, and she massaged his muscles. He relaxed, and sighed. Soon, he was asleep. That was good. They could focus more without his pacing.

It was another hour before Hayley was found. Caroline did a victory dance and was yelling yes, when everyone shushed her.

They pointed to a still peacefully asleep Klaus who had his head laid back against the couch with his arms in his lap.

A small sound came from him, and his nose twitched like a dog's would. Caroline snapped a picture before apologizing in a whisper.

"Shouldn't we wake him up though? We'll need his help to find Hayley. Let's make a plan first. He'll have no choice but to follow along with it. You're right.

So what are we going to do? First, we need to assess what we have. We have two hybrids who have bites lethal to both 900 year old vampires. Then we have three other vampires who are over 150 years old with a few skills.

We also have two other Originals, both are their sires.

We also have Kai and me, who are witches, one of which who lives off the magic that comes from witches and supernaturals.

Kai and I can weaken them to the point where Klaus can go find Hayley. If we fail, Elijah and Rebekah will stall since if they kill you, it will kill them.

Tyler, you'll be with them in case. Caroline, Damon, and Katherine will search the surrounding areas, in case Hayley isn't where Klaus checked.

Elena, Stefan, and Jeremy, you guys will be back up. If everything goes wrong with their sires and Tyler, Jeremy has weapons you can use to take them out.

Got it?" Bonnie concluded, and everyone nodded. "Good thing I'm recording this, so we won't have to tell Klaus all over again.

We're going to split up. Kai, me, Rebekah, Elijah, and Tyler will go in Elijah's car.

Klaus is going with Caroline, Damon, and Katherine in his car. Then, Jeremy, Elena, and Stefan will go in Elena's car.

Guys." Bonnie called, and everyone turned to her. "This is for Hayley OK? She's been through enough. Today, we will settle this.

Once and for all."

Everyone nodded and went off to get changed into more appropriate clothing.

Bonnie went to wake up Klaus. "Klaus! Hey wake up!" She shook him, and he when he awoke, he was on high alert.

He gripped her wrist tightly, and she gasped. "What?

Uh could you let go of my wrist...it's starting to hurt." She said, and hw let go immediately.

"Where is everyone? Go get changed and meet us downstairs. We recorded the plan for you."

She said and he nodded, going upstairs and changed into a white shirt with black pants, shoes, and his long black coat.

He met everyone else downstairs who also wore black everything. Since it was evening, and by the time they'd make it to the site it would be dark, it would be easier if they just wore black.

It's like we're spies, and one of our friends are kidnapped and now we have to rescue her." Caroline squealed and everyone gave her a look.

"What? I like a thriller battle." I walked over and Caroline handed me her phone. "The recording's there." He nodded and pressed play.

As soon as he was finished, he walked back over. He pulled Katherine away for a talk.

"Thank you, Katherine. I know what I did to you was wrong, and I do apologize. I want you to be happy. I know you and Elijah were togther.

Caroline. Can't all blondes shut up when needed? No offense. None taken. Anyway, I wish the best.

I know you had a daughter." Katherine's eyes lit up. "If you want, I can have the remaining hybrids I have, look for her. Thank you!" She hugged him.

He didn't hug back right away, but he patted her back with a smile. "I wish you a happy life Katherine. Thank you, Klaus. You too."

They pulled away, smiles still present on their faces. They walked back over and  began grabbing weapons, just in case.

There were crossbows, guns, grenades, knives, stakes, water guns. "You have water guns!? We put the vervain in there.

Hell yeah. And you have the NERF ones? Yeah, that was my idea. We spray painted them black and blue. Sweet!" Kai said happily as he stuffed one in each pocket.

He put a large one in his bag before grabbing some vervain. "Bon Bon drink up. If they try to kill us with their teeth, they'll burn. Good idea. They drank lots of vervain before they were ready.

"Everyone ready?

Let's go beat some 900 year old vampire ass and save my best friend."
